The TikTok Shop UK Awards 2025 have just awarded this peptide-powered pair of serums as their Beauty Product of the Year, marking it as one of the top-selling products on the platform
Nowadays TikTok is one of the top places to look for trending beauty and product recommendations, so when the social media platform marks something as their ‘product of the year’, we’re going to sit up and pay attention. Which is exactly what has just happened following on from the recent TikTok Shop UK Awards 2025 – and it’s surprisingly affordable.
At this year’s awards ceremony, which celebrates some of the platform’s bestselling products and brands over the last 12 months, The Ordinary’s Age Support Duo beat tough competition to secure the award for Product of the Year (Beauty). This pair of high-performance serums costs £19.60 to buy on Lookfantastic, but you’re likely to find it even cheaper on TikTok Shop (at the time of writing it was down to £14.99 in a flash sale).

This set of two high-performing serums – which can be used together or individually – consist of The Ordinary Argireline Solution 10% and The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA, two trending ingredients based around peptides that help to hydrate, lift and brighten the skin, and minimise fine lines.
Argireline Solution 10% claims to tackle deep-set lines on the face, such as smile and ’11’ lines, whereas Matrixyl 10% + HA is a bit more about firming and plumping the skin (you might recognise the word ‘Matrixyl’ from No7 skincare, where its Matrixyl 3000 Plus is one of the key ingredients in some of its bestselling serums such as No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED Serum). According to reviews, they’re effective on their own – but like a lot of The Ordinary products, also layer up beautifully together.
Other beauty winners from these TikTok awards include e.l.f. Cosmetics UK, named Rising Beauty Star thanks to its popularity with Gen Z, and Wonderskin, crowned Breakthrough Beauty Seller of the Year after its viral lip stain sold 413,000 units on the app.
Our shopping writer Meghan has compared Wonderskin Lip Stain with other similar products, and says, “When it comes to colour payoff, Wonderskin leans towards a higher level of pigment and lasts the longest. I’ve also always noticed a less patchy finish with the Wonderskin lip stain. over others.
“That said, this time I tried one of the newest shades, Hush, which is described as a more neutral brown colour. However, much like my old favourite shade, Lovely, this lip stain still results in a dark pink colour that’s similar to my natural lip colour but more saturated. This is fine and I like the look, but if you’re actually looking for a more nude/brown colour, Wonderskin isn’t going to do it.”
