A reselling and Vinted expert has shared three things you should sell on the platform in January for guaranteed cash. Lots of people have turned to selling on platforms such as eBay, Depop and Vinted to earn some extra cash.
Vinted, which is the leading second-hand fashion marketplace in Europe, has millions of users across the world using the platform to sell and buy pre-loved clothes, accessories and gadgets. As with all shopping habits, the wants and needs of users on the platform change all the time as we go from season to season.
One reselling expert who posts about Vinted on TikTok, Laura, has shared three items she has been stockpiling over the last few months to sell in January to get the most profit. She is also encouraging other people who may be clearing out their wardrobes after the festive season to think about selling three types of items they’re on the fence about.
Laura said: “You know what it’s like after Christmas, we all feel like we have eaten too much, we feel like we want a fresh start, we’re like I’m going to get back to the gym. So gym stuff guys.
“I’ve started stockpiling gym stuff from the charity shops already. January is going to be when everyone is on Vinted looking for a new set of trainers, looking for new gym gear, so if you haven’t already do make sure that if you’re picking up all the gym stuff.
“Number two, we’re coming up to peak ski season, so from January we want to be listing skiwear related. So Salopettes, ski jackets, even knitted bobble hats, gloves, anything like that.
“Number three, this sort of goes back to the new year, fresh start scenario where people are going to be feeling like ‘I need a fresh start, looking for a new me’. Any sort of diaries, planners or 2026 planners, school planners.
“Anything where it is organisational planning, it could be related to food, fitness, school or just general life. So those are your three things you want to get listed in January.”
But as with all websites, they have peak times when more people are listing, buying and searching for items. One person has shared how her Vinted sales grew by 450% when she started posting in what she called ” the golden window “.
Neesha began posting between 7pm and 9pm on weekdays and after 12pm on a Saturday and Sunday.
