Molly-Mae Hague has been showing how to do chic winter style during her holiday in St Moritz, and we’ve found the perfect affordable alternative to her chic mongolian fur coat
If there’s one thing that’s getting us through the fact it’s still January, it’s the chance to keep wearing some amazing outerwear. The temperatures might be freezing, but it’s the perfect opportunity to make the most of our cosy winter coats while we can, and Molly-Mae Hague has just given us some serious winter outfit inspo.
The former Lover Island star is currently on holiday in St Moritz, and has been showing off her array of chic and cosy looks on Instagram, our favourite of which included the oversized Brown Mongolian Cropped Coat from De Savaray. If you want to copy her winter look on a budget, however, we’ve spotted the perfect alternative at Debenhams, with the Threadbare Mongolian Faux Fur Vintage Style Coat now reduced from £80 to £64.

Just like Molly-Mae’s gorgeous coat, the Threadbare Mongolian Style Coat comes in a chocolate brown colour that’s perfect for nailing this season’s mocha mousse trend, and has an oversized, boxy silhouette. Although Molly-Mae’s is made from real Mongolian sheepskin, the Threadbare one is made from faux fur, which helps keep the price more affordable.
The Threadbare Mongolian Style Coat has a simple rounded neckline that’s perfect for showing off high neck jumpers or statement jewellery, with handy side pockets. It also fastens with a press stud fastening, making it easy to fasten up despite the long-length fur.
Whilst a regular faux fur coat adds an elegant, more formal look to your outfit, these shaggy, Mongolian-style fur coats are perfect for adding a little extra cool factor to your look. The long, crimped faux fur and boxy shape make them look more laid back and relaxed, but still smart enough to wear in the evening with more formal outfits too.
You can still snap up the Threadbare Mongolian Style Coat in all sizes from an eight to a 16, with the discounted price applied to all sizes. If brown isn’t your colour, you can also pick up the jacket in a cream shade.
Alternatively, River Island has this Brown Faux Feather Fur Coat for £75 which comes in a lighter, softer brown colourway and has subtle faux feather design throughout, giving it an extra twist. It also has an oversized collar similar to Molly-Mae’s coat, and the same long, shaggy design.
Next also has its own version, with the Religion Brown Long Haired Short Relax Fur Coat in Shaggy Soft Faux Fur coming in at £156. The jacket is available in both grey and brown and has a slightly longer, less boxy silhouette.
