A sworn fan of this sulfate-free affordable hair care brand, Shopping Writer Meghan has put Hask’s new blonde hair care line to the test and the results have blown her away

I have always struggled to keep my hair pearly blonde, especially on the day I get my roots done; for some reason, no purple shampoo or at-home toners have worked as well, and I’d like to get my hair back to that just-toned white colour that I get from the hairdressers. But that all changed two weeks ago.

My new favourite haircare brand, Hask, has released yet another new line of products specifically targeted for treating and restoring blonde hair while waving goodbye to yellow and brassy tones. As I’ve already become a Hask devotee thanks to their Argon Oil and Repair lines (which I’ve already reviewed), I thought I’d take this new Blonde Care range for a spin to see what difference it would make to my blonde curls. And once again, Hask has delivered.

The new Blonde Care line includes the HASK Blonde Care Purple Toning Shampoo (£13.28), the HASK Blonde Care Purple Toning Conditioner (£6.99) and the HASK Blonde Care Deep Conditioner Treatment (£2.99), all of which are available on Amazon.

Working to enhance both natural and bleached blonde hair while eradicating that unwanted brass, HASK’s Blonde Care Collection is touted as your summer go-to for refreshing your soft, summer-ready strands. The new shampoo and conditioner feature hydrating elderberry oil and rejuvenating Vitamin C to keep damage and brass at bay, leaving hair feeling covetable, smooth and rejuvenated with every wash.

The HASK Toning Shampoo and Conditioner are set to work as regular top-ups to fight yellowing and brassy undertones creeping in. They essentially act as a regular at-home toner that rejuvenates hair and brings back that salon-like finish from your own shower.

I’ve been using these for just over two weeks, as an alternative to HASK’s argon oil shampoo and conditioner with every other hair wash. The stubborn parts of my hair that tend to go yellow first and stay yellow, even after long toning treatments, have lifted to a paler, near-white colour akin to that which I get from the hairdressers.

The sulfate-free formula in all of HASK’s shampoos and conditioners ensures minimal damage caused by ingredients like sulfates while restoring the health and shine to your hair. My hair, which typically falls on the dryer side, has felt so healthy and silky smooth since HASK has taken over my whole haircare routine, and now my blonde hair is getting a loving tone, too.

But the real winner of this new line is this £3 Deep Conditioning Treatment, which is a miracle worker for refreshing strands, making them look salon-fresh and ready for shining in the summer sun. I don’t think I’ve ever used an at-home blonde treatment that leaves my hair feeling so soft and silky while also fully restored to the platinum blonde shade I get from the hairdresser’s.

The mask may look scary at first, as it is purple, but so long as you don’t leave the mask on for longer than the instructed 5 minutes, your hair will come out pearly white with silver undertones, without a purple hue. That said, if your hair is highly susceptible to picking up pigment from purple shampoo, you may want to wash it out before the 5-minute mark. The first time I used mine, I left it in for only 3 minutes as I was worried about purple stains, but I have subsequently left it in for the full amount of time without issue.

The £2.99 sachet is a real bargain as it comes with two to three treatments in one, though depending on how long and thick your hair is, you might find that it’s enough for just one thorough treatment.

You can pick up the HASK Blonde Care Shampoo, Conditioner and my new favourite Blonde Care hair mask on Amazon, as well as the original HASK Argon Oil Shampoo, or one of their other products, such as the Tea Tree Oil Shampoo. You can also pick up the HASK hair mask from Perfumes Club for £2.85.
