‘Slick Gorilla is a brilliant company’

The men’s grooming space is continuing to evolve, with more brands moving beyond styling products to offer complete daily routines. One of the latest brands to make that shift is Slick Gorilla, the barbershop-born name known for its viral hair products, which has now launched its first dedicated skincare line.

One of its clinically-tested sets proved so popular it sold out quickly, reflecting the growing demand for straightforward skincare designed to slot easily into an everyday routine. While the full bundle has gone, the individual products are still available separately, allowing the routine to be built piece-by-piece.

Customers can also save 15% if they use the code ‘REACH15’ on the brand’s new full-priced Skin range products. At the core of the range is the Daily Wash and Lightweight Moisturiser Set for £16.95 down from £26.85.

This one is designed to deliver a simple, low effort routine that deeply cleans pores, removes daily build-up and gently exfoliates while maintaining hydration. The formulation is said to work to balance oil, reduce shine and soothe irritation without heaviness or fragrance, making it suitable for everyday use across different skin types, including sensitive skin.

The Hydra-Boost Under Eye Patches are also available for £6.95, down to £5.91 with the code, which focus on refreshing tired-looking skin with fast-acting hydration that helps smooth fine lines and brighten the under eye area, while remaining fragrance and alcohol-free for comfort. The Blemish Patches, which include 36 in a pack for £6.95, or £5.91 with the code, are up for grabs, too. They use hydrocolloid technology to draw out impurities and protect spots from further irritation, supported by calming ingredients such as Centella Asiatica.

Then there is the Super Serum for £14.95, down to £12.71 with the code, which acts as a multi-tasking step, formulated to address oiliness, dryness, uneven tone and early signs of ageing in one lightweight application. Designed for quick absorption, it hydrates and helps refine texture while improving overall skin clarity over time, the brand says.

Finishing touches, such as the Mint Lip Balm for £5.95, add to everyday maintenance, delivering lightweight moisture with a fresh feel. It aims to ‘hydrate, soften, and protect lips from dryness’, the site says.

If this isn’t the one for everyone, Boots instead has the No7 Men’s Skincare Regime for £59.95. Worth £117.70 when bought separately, this comes with six different products, including a face wash, face scrub, eye cream, day moisturiser, serum and a night moisturiser.

LookFantastic then has the Clinique For Men Daily Hydration Skincare Set for £35 on the website, which offers a trio of daily skincare essentials, designed specifically for men. This set includes the Clinique For Men Anti-Age Moisturiser (100ml), Clinique For Men Face Scrub (30ml) and the Clinique For Men Charcoal Face Wash (50ml).

As the range is new there’s only one review of the lip balm so far, with the person saying: “Really great Smells fresh & leaves my lips hydrated.”

However, Slick Gorilla are very highly rated on Trustpilot with a 4.5 rating. One person said: “Slick Gorilla is a brilliant company.” Another added: “Very easy company to deal with, great product and smooth transaction.”

One person removed a star and said as part of a longer review: “I haven’t yet received the items almost a month on.”

Overall, though, most people were pleased. Someone else wrote: “Great product, does exactly what it says on the bottle and smells amazing.”
