“You can see and feel the difference straightaway. My skin is so much smoother and brighter. This product doesn’t give you that heavy greasy look or feeling and it works well for my sensitive skin.”
A growing number of skincare enthusiasts are stepping away from complicated, multi-step routines in favour of formulas that focus on fewer, more purposeful ingredients. One product attracting attention is the British-made Calm & Glow Face Oil from Kloris, now reduced by 20% from £49 to £39.20 with the code ‘GLOW20’.
Designed as a lightweight botanical blend, the formula offers radiance and comfort to the skin without the heaviness, residue or staining often associated with traditional facial oils, the brand says. Formulated with five ingredients, the 30ml oil avoids silicones, mineral oil, synthetic fragrances and colourants and unnecessary fillers.
At its core is rosa canina seed oil, commonly referred to as rosehip oil, and known for its essential fatty acids and antioxidant content that help support smoother, more even-looking skin. This is paired with squalane, a biomimetic hydrator that mirrors the skin’s own sebum to maintain moisture balance while remaining non-greasy, alongside cucumber seed oil to provide lightweight nourishment.
The blend also includes vanilla planifolia fruit extract and vitamin E. The product is said to be ‘suitable for all skin types’, including those prone to dryness, sensitivity, redness or imbalance, leaving skin looking luminous while feeling comfortable rather than coated.
Created to fit into both minimalist and more established routines, a few drops can be pressed directly onto cleansed skin, layered with a moisturiser or blended into a face cream for an added boost. With daily use, a single 30ml bottle typically lasts between two and three months, the site says.

If this isn’t the one for everyone, there is a more expensive option with the True Botanicals Calm Pure Radiance Oil (30ml) for £100 from Cult Beauty. This one is formulated with 27 plant actives and is said to be suitable for ‘even the most sensitive skin types’.
A cheaper option is the Elemis Superfood Facial Oil (15ml) for £45.60, down from £57, from LookFantastic. This is described as a ‘nourishing, nutrient-rich facial oil’ that can hydrate the skin while encouraging a brighter appearance.
The Calm & Glow Face Oil has been rated highly on the Kloris website, however, as one person said: “Gorgeously light, easily absorbed and delicately fragranced. It’s a beautiful face oil that allows my skin to breathe. Love it!”
Another wrote: “You can see and feel the difference straightaway. My skin is so much smoother and brighter. This product doesn’t give you that heavy greasy look or feeling and it works well for my sensitive skin.”
Some people removed a star and said: “Great product but would just like bit less vanilla.” Another wrote: “It used to give me an extra glow.”
Overall though, most people were pleased. Another shopper said: “I’m enjoying using the oil, which I do each morning. Absorbs really well and leaves my skin looking glowy. I’m in my 70s, so there’s a limit to improvements, but I’m happy with the product.”
