A teenager has tragically died after an incident in Liverpool city centre this week.

Emergency services rushed to Liverpool city centre after a man was discovered dead. Several police vehicles, including a scientific support van, were spotted parked at the top of Bold Street, with an officer seen standing outside on the street yesterday morning (Sunday, May 31).

A Merseyside Police spokesperson told the ECHO that they were alerted by North West Ambulance Service at 7.45am following concerns raised about an 18 year old. Reports indicated that a man had collapsed inside an apartment on Bold Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A statement from the force read: “We are investigating following reports a male had collapsed inside an apartment on Bold Street in Liverpool city centre.”, reports the Liverpool Echo.

“We were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service at 7.45am today, Sunday 31 May, following concern for an 18 year-old.

“The male was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”

The man’s cause of death is not yet known.
