A teenager who died after an alleged stabbing has been named and pictured.

Berkan Demir, 18-years-old, died at at Lena Gardens in Hammersmith on Sunday, March 15 after being stabbed in the neck, according to police.

A 31-year-old man has been charged with murder. Ahmed Said, 31, of Lena Gardens, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 19.

Demir’s family have asked for privacy at this time.

His cause of death was sharp force trauma to the left side of the neck, according to a post-mortem examination carried out on Tuesday, March 17.

Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command continue to lead the investigation.
