Shoppers can save on the branded haircare gift set that’s gone viral on social media
L’Oréal haircare fans can save on a ‘brilliant’ glossing set that’s on sale for less than half price. Sainsbury’s has slashed the price of a four-item gift set, which is said to deliver the ‘shiniest hair’.
As seen in a viral Facebook post, the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Glycolic Gloss Routine has been discounted in-store from £56 to £16.20. The ‘at-home glossing set’ includes shampoo, conditioner, lamination rinse-off, and leave-in serum. The offer could impress fans of the brand, as it’s being sold at a higher price by several other retailers.
For instance, the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Glycolic Gloss Routine is currently available for purchase online at Look Fantastic for £57.96. It’s also on sale online at Boots for £27. The set is currently out of stock online at Boots, but the website says ‘stock coming soon’.
The product description states: “Transform lacklustre lengths with the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Glossing Routine. Created specifically with dull hair types in mind, the set visibly enhances shine, strength and softness. The four-step regime is powered by a Glycolic Gloss Complex.”
It continues: “Hair glossing is a popular treatment designed to boost your hair’s shine and vibrancy. When hair is damaged, its cuticles lift, causing it to reflect light poorly and appear dull. The Sainsbury’s deal garnered attention after it was shared online by a shopper who spotted it in the supermarket. Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, Sarah Farnsworth wrote: “If anyone uses this shampoo, this gift set was down to £16.20 from £56 in Sainsbury’s.” Within a few days, the post has racked up over 1k reactions and hundreds of comments.
Responding to the Facebook post about the deal at Sainsbury’s, several shoppers were eager to purchase the set. Replying to the post, someone commented: “This is what my sister used, and it’s brilliant!!!!” Another fan wrote: “I love this stuff!!!”
A keen shopper said: “Need to get to Sainsbury’s,” and a different viewer told their friend: “This is the gloss set. I haver the breakage one, Smells so good. I might need this too.”
Elsewhere, a commenter tagged their friend, asking: “Is this the one you use?” and they replied: “Yes love it.” Meanwhile, an excited social media user said: “Aw brilliant need to find a Sainsbury’s.”
Someone else shared: “Morrisons has it for £13.50.” Another comment read: “£13.50 in Morrisons,” and a fan asked their friend: “Are you going to Morrisons any time soon? I have this in my Amazon basket but it’s £28.”
