One shopper said they liked the torch so much that they ‘bought another two to give to friends’
With the days getting colder and darker, shoppers might be on the hunt for lighting devices – whether that’s to take the bins out at night, for camping or for an evening run. A head torch might do just the trick – and there’s one on Amazon that’s been called ‘perfect’.
The LE Rechargeable Head Torch is currently available from Amazon for £16.99. With a built-in 1200mAh rechargeable battery, this head torch can be charged by various USB devices, making it cost-effective, the brand says.
The head torch has five lighting modes, including three white light and two red light modes. The white light provides night lighting, the red light mode provides a warning, and the strobe mode can be useful in emergencies.

The torch has been designed with adjustable straps and a comfortable headband, meaning it can ‘fit any head size’ and provide maximum comfort during extended use, the brand says. It’s also waterproof and can withstand exposure to rain, snow, and other wet conditions. Plus, fully charged, Amazon says this head torch provides up to 30 hours of lighting.
As an alternative, shoppers can look to buy this Streetwize COB Head Torch from Argos, priced at £8. This has an LED bulb, one brightness setting, and is described by the brand as ‘lightweight and versatile’.

Shoppers have left high praise for this product
Or there’s this Loops Rechargeable Head Torch from Debenhams, available for a more expensive price of £45.99. This item has three lighting modes, an adjustable beam direction, a ‘comfortable’ headband design and a micro USB charging point.
Shoppers have written very positive comments for the LE Rechargeable Head Torch on Amazon, leaving an average 4.6 out of five star rating, from nearly 4,000 reviews. One shopper said they liked the torch so much that they “bought another two to give to friends”.
They said as part of a longer review: “Simple to operate and more solidly built than expected. The battery lasts ages on low beam. I think 25 hours is probably accurate. The buttons glow in the dark if you put the torch under a bright light or in sunlight beforehand. Light enough to forget you’re wearing it. I keep mine around my neck and stick it on my head if I get up in the night in my caravan.”
Another wrote: “I’ve owned these for a few years now and the battery still lasts for plenty of time, they are easy to charge from any USB charger and they give out enough light for most purposes, even on the dim setting.” While a third simply said: “Very strong light. Very useful. I tried (it) for camping. Perfect.”
Others left some feedback for the torch, with one person writing as part of a longer review: “The only slight downside is it uses a micro USB rather than USB C, but it’s not a big issue. I’ve only had them a couple of weeks but I’m pleased with them.”
Another said: “Reliable and lasts a long time. Would have liked a little brighter. But (it does) the job.”
