The supermarket is stocking a £3.99 item that could impress pet owners
Most animal lovers agree that a house isn’t a home without a pet. Unfortunately, some homes end up looking worse for wear when pets start scratching furniture.
Luckily, Aldi is selling a £3.99 item that could offer an easy fix for cat lovers. The supermarket is launching a Cat Scratching Accordion that encourages pets to ‘stretch, scratch and play.’ Arriving in stores on Sunday (August 9), the item is part of a new pets range for Aldi shoppers with furry friends at home.
The Cat Scratching Accordion is part of the store’s popular ‘SpecialBuys’ range, with rotating offers for customers. As such, any shoppers keen to get their paws on the ‘Pet Collection’ item might want to be quick. Stock is usually limited.
Aldi’s product description said: “Stretch, scratch and play. This accordion scratcher keeps cats entertained while helping to protect furniture. Foldable and reversible corrugated cardboard. Includes bell ball.” As part of the new Pet Collection, the scratcher is being launched alongside a range of products designed for cats and dogs.
Cat owners might also be interested in the £4.99 Cat Scratcher with Catnip. The retailer wrote: “Delight your cat with our Cat Scratcher. Perfect for encouraging playful scratching and providing irresistible fun, this combo keeps your kitty entertained and happy for hours.
“Give your furry friend the gift of endless excitement and healthy claws! Includes a separate bag of Catnip. Choose from Video Game, Laptop, Record Player or Keyboard design.”
Meanwhile, dog owners might like the £4.99 Jumbo Dog Toy or the £4.99 Wiggle Buddy Ball. The description for the dog toy says: “For dogs who never do anything by halves. This jumbo toy delivers maximum fun and maximum squeaks.”
The description for the ball adds: “Keep tails wagging and playtime exciting. This dog toy features engaging sound tubes that spark curiosity and provide hours of interactive fun.”
Alternatively, shoppers could look at other retailers for similar toys and scratch posts. At Home Bargains, shoppers can get the My Pets Cat Scratch Post for £5.99. The description said: “The My Pets Cat Scratch Post is a 38cm tall scratcher that satisfies your cat’s scratching instincts, helps maintain healthy claws, and protects your furniture.
