Dunelm shoppers are “obsessed” with the new £799 Beatrice Woven Stripe Sofa Bed from one of the retailer’s most popular ranges – and it can be delivered in time for Christmas too
Dunelm has captured shoppers’ attention with a “gorgeous” new space-saving furniture piece in one of the retailer’s most sought-after styles.
The £399 Beatrice Woven Stripe Snuggle Chair has emerged as a bestselling hit this year, with customers declaring they were “in love” with its “gorgeous” statement fabric, available in five striped colourways. Now the Beatrice Woven Stripe Sofa Bed has just arrived, ideal for both adding a splash of colour during the gloomy winter months and accommodating guests throughout the festive period.
The black and white version was 50% off at just £399 but sold out in seconds, while the coral version – which is still available – is full price at £799. The sofa bed suits any space-conscious household with its versatile two-in-one design that effortlessly transforms from a two-seater sofa into a double bed.
Revealing its launch on Instagram, Dunelm swiftly generated buzz amongst shoppers, telling them: “No, you’re not dreaming; you can now shop our best-selling Beatrice stripes in a brand-new sofa bed form.”
Customers flocked to the comments to express their enthusiasm for the furniture, with one proclaiming: “That might just be the best sofa bed in the world!” Another concurred: “This is my dream sofa.” While a third gushed: “Love this stripy beauty!”
Others described themselves as “obsessed” with its striking striped pattern, calling it a “game changer” for their interior style. Though one reviewer of the sofa bed noted that while they considered it “great value for money”, they found the fabric to be “hard and scratchy”.
Those keen on the woven stripe fabric can round off their sofa bed setup by adding the Beatrice Woven Stripe Footstool for £179 or the Beatrice Stripe Pouffe for £49, both available in black, olive green, coral pink or mushroom beige stripes.
A matching Beatrice Stripe Cushion can also be snapped up for £18. Alternatively, for another coordinating seating choice that won’t break the bank, the viral Elsie Cocktail Chair comes in the same striped fabric for £99, reports Chronicle Live.
Dunelm’s £799 price point for the sofa bed undercuts comparable offerings from several major sofa retailers. The most affordable sofa bed at SCS is the Baxter Fabric 3 Seater Sofa Bed at £899 – but you can find it for £389 at Tesco – while Sofology’s cheapest option is the Brixton Sofa Bed from £1,249 — though both allow you to select your preferred fabric.
That said, DFS’ most budget-friendly choice comes in £200 cheaper with the Loco Large 2 Seater Sofa Bed, priced at £599 and available for delivery before Christmas.
