With the weather getting colder and colder, more women are turning to knitwear – and Snag might have just the thing
As temperatures drop, many will be swapping out lighter summer wardrobes for extra layers and cosier fabrics. One garment that’s perfect for the season is a knitted dress, effortlessly balancing warmth and comfort with a stylish, flattering fit that feels as good as it looks.
For those in the market for such an item, Snag — a size-inclusive brand that aims to make ethical, comfortable clothing for every body — is currently selling its beautiful brown Cocoon dress in both a midi and mini cut. The Cocoon midi dress is a polished all-rounder, falling to just below the knee. It costs £69.99 and comes in sizes A/B (4–6) to J (36–38), although C, D, and E are currently out of stock.
The more playful of the two dresses, Snag’s Cocoon mini offers the same cosy knit but with a shorter silhouette. It costs £64.99 and is also available in A/B (4–6) to J (36–38), although D is out of stock at the moment.
Both garments are crafted from Snag’s cloud knit fabric, which the brand says is ridiculously soft but with substantial weight that doesn’t cling. Available in a rich hot chocolate brown colour, these Cocoon dresses have been cut with a boat neckline and wide sleeves, and also come with a matching waist tie for cinching. They’re practical too, with two deep side pockets for carrying a phone, purse, or anything else.
The brand also sells a range of items perfect for pairing with both the mini and midi Cocoon dresses. Snag’s tights come in a range of deniers and colours, and are constructed with with ladder-resistant stitching, anti-chafing bands, and reinforced toes for durability, the brand says. Many styles are priced between £8.49 and £9.99.
Snag size-inclusive knitted dresses
Snag’s size-inclusive knitted dresses are said to be ‘toasty warm’
To keep off chills, shoppers could also layer a jumper on top — such as this Snag fruity jumper with bright, eye-catching strawberry and cherry pattern. Made from 100% acrylic, the jumper features a scoop neck and relaxed sizing for a casual drape, and comes in sizes 4–6 to 36–38 for £49.99.
For Christmas shoppers, Snag sells a wide range of products perfect for gifting, too. The brand’s best-selling Big Fluffy Towels are designed for plush wraparound comfort after bathing, or there’s the Floof Bath Robe for a little more indulgence.
As for stocking fillers, shoppers could pick up some of Snag’s leg warmers and thigh-high socks, or one of its Super Cute Washbags with Fox or Strawberry designs. There’s even the Snagvent Advent Calendar 2025, a delightful figgy pudding washbag packed with surprise tights for counting down to Christmas.
Elsewhere in the dress department, Debenhams is selling the Yours quarter zip knitted jumper dress for £34.99 in sizes 14 to 34–36. Cut to roughly knee length, it pairs perfectly with tights and boots, and features ribbed detailing for a more textural touch.
Another versatile dress is the Yours Curve black lettuce edge tunic dress from Next for £27, with a mini length that wears as well every day as it does for dressier occasions. It’s sold in sizes 14 to 38–40.
Back to Snag, its Cocoon dresses have received positive reviews from shoppers. One purchased the mini dress, saying: “Love this dress. Fits well and is so flattering, especially love the shape of the sleeves, and toasty warm!”
Another added: “Only arrived today. I’m 5ft 3 and it’s just above my knees. It’s very flattering and with thick, woolly tights will be fabulous over the winter. I really love it.”
One customer liked the Cocoon mini dress, but did leave feedback on the length: “So comfy and so cute! Honestly, I would’ve been fine with the mini being even a wee bit shorter. I adore it!”
Some people on Trustpilot have flagged waiting a bit for delivery times, so that needs to be factored in when making a purchase.
However, a third customer bought the Cocoon midi dress and left five stars, writing: “Comfy, cosy, perfectly true to size. Dress it up or keep it casual. So good. I ordered it in oatmeal, just wish it was available in burgundy too.”
