It could be you – so make sure you’re checking your old National Lottery tickets after draw bosses revealed six prizes worth over £3million have gone unclaimed
National Lottery players have been urged to check their tickets for six unclaimed winning prizes worth more than £3million.
Last week, an unknown Lotto winner in Bexley, South East London missed their chance to pocket a life-changing £10million after the deadline to claim winnings passed – and now lottery bosses are appealing for all other recorded winners to come forward to avoid this happening to them.
Currently, there are unclaimed prizes on different National Lottery draws in South Gloucestershire, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, Powys, Watford, Hartlepool and Wolverhampton.

What to know about winning tickets
For all National Lottery draws, ticket holders have exactly 180 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize.
If a player has lost their ticket but believes they won, they must submit a claim in writing to Allwyn, the operator of the National Lottery, within 30 days of the relevant draw. They will investigate the evidence before deciding whether to pay out the prize at the end of the 180-day period.
If no one comes forward by the deadline, the total prize money, along with any interest it has generated, is donated to support National Lottery-funded community projects and good causes across Britain.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Adviser at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said, “We are urging anyone who lives in the Wolverhampton area or was passing through the city and bought a ticket for the 27 March draw to find their ticket. Look in the pockets of clothes you might have been wearing at the time, in bags and wallets or in the glovebox of the car.
“Tell your friends, ask your family – think back to what you were doing that week. Is it in a pile of receipts and letters you’ve not quite got around to dealing with? You could be our missing Thunderball winner sitting on a life-changing sum of money and not even know it. We want nothing more than to unite the rightful winner with their prize.”
