We’ve picked some of our favourite items, as shoppers can save extra with a little-known code
Investing in premium products for the home and kitchen can not only make a consumer’s life easier, but save money in the long-run as the items should last a lifetime. Whether saving time cooking, making cleaning less of a chore, or keeping heating bills down, as a shopping writer, I’ve researched hundreds of home products over the years.
There are a few top brands that stand out, including Dyson, Shark and Ninja, and there’s a nifty retailer where shoppers can get goods from all these names in one place. QVC have a wide range of home and kitchen products on their website and new customers can get £5 off first orders using the code FIVE4U.
QVC has rigorous testing and quality assurance for all products sold on its platforms, so shoppers can rest assured that the tech meets a high standard. I’ve compiled a few of my favourite Shark, Ninja and Dyson picks from QVC and some of them have been discounted.
Many of the items listed below have been tried and tested by the Mirror’s team of expert shopping writers, giving readers valuable real-time feedback. From salon-worthy hair dryers to party-ready ice cream machines and two-in-one cleaning machines, new customers to QVC can get an extra £5 off all these items.
Dyson Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer Special Edition Straight+Wavy
Dyson’s Supersonic hair dryer has been highly coveted since it hit the market and the Nural edition is essentially an upgrade on the 2016 model. It is a few years old now, having launched in 2024, but this means shoppers can get their hands on it for less at QVC where it is 25% off and down to £299.96.
With a big focus on scalp health, the Dyson Nural has a clever Scalp Protect mode, automatically reducing heat and airflow as the hair dryer gets closer to the head. This helps to prevent heat damage all while boosting hair shine and style.
Similar to its predecessor, it comes with a gentle air attachment, styling concentrator, wide tooth comb and flyaway attachment, as well as an upgrade – a wave and curl diffuser. For those wanting to know more about Dyson hair tools, the Mirror’s beauty writer, Bethan Shufflebotham, has tried out the Dyson Supersonic original hair dryer here.
For direct feedback on the Nural model, one customer said: “A replacement for my original, much-loved Dyson hair dryer. I am very impressed with the revamped version.” Someone else shared it made their hair look ‘shiny and healthy’, however, ‘it is quite expensive’.
The Shark SpeedStyle Pro High-Velocity Hair Dryer System is a cheaper alternative, on sale at Boots for £119.99. It also has a scalp shield mode, but does not come with as many attachments as the Dyson Nural.
Dyson AM09 Hot & Cool Quiet Bladeless Tower Fan with Timer
The UK is known for having unpredictable weather so the Dyson AM09 Hot & Cool Fan is a great investment that can be used year-round. It has dropped to £299.95, down from £399.96 at QVC, saving shoppers £100 ahead of spring.
This Dyson gadget circulates powerful cool air around the room in seconds, but it can also switch to an energy-efficient heater, saving households money on heating bills. It has a sleek design, so it shouldn’t be an eye-sore in the home, and a whisper-quiet mode to use when sleeping.
It has plenty of five star reviews, with one person saying: “Just tried it, does absolutely everything it says, heats and cools immediately, can’t say enough good stuff about it! It looks great, so quiet, movement is smooth, no loud noises, the Rolls-Royce of fans.”
Not everyone is so impressed as someone found ‘even on full it didn’t reduce room temperature’. Morphy Richards has also reduced the HeatFlux 2kw Digital Ceramic Tower Fan Heater – it’s £79.99 at full price but currently on sale for £59.99.
Shark SpeedStyle Pro FLEX 4-in-1 High-Velocity Hair Dryer System
Saving beauty fans £40 off the speedy-drying device, QVC has shaved 20% off the £199.95 Shark Pro FLEX, bringing it down to £159.96. Getting a professional blow dry can soon start to add up, which is where the Shark Pro FLEX comes in, allowing users to achieve a premium blow dry at home.
The Mirror’s editorial commercial content director Michelle Darlow tried the gadget out for herself and found she could dry her hair ‘in the 10 minutes’. She went on to share: “My hairdresser can never get over how thick my hair is – she says it gives her arm ache when blow drying it! But I was super impressed that this Shark hair dryer blasted my hair dry in seconds” Those interested can read her full review here.
Michelle isn’t the only one pleased with the Shark Pro Flex – another shopper left a review that said ‘I love that it twists to fold down as it makes it handy to travel with and store’. A QVC customer called it ‘the best hair dryer I’ve ever used’, but someone else found they didn’t need all the ‘bells and whistles’.
For a more pared-back hair dryer, the Remington PROluxe Midnight Hair Dryer is 59% off at Amazon, reduced from £84.99 to £34.99. This is a good option for anyone on a tighter budget.
Shark VM200 VacMop 2-in-1 Cordless Vacuum Mop
Get ready to up the spring cleaning game with the Shark VM200 VacMop 2-in-1 Cordless Vacuum Mop. Retailing for under £100 at QVC, it comes in three colours (grey, lime and purple), with shoppers saying they ‘don’t know how they managed without this’.
Another person called it ‘wizardry in disguise’ as it: “Mops and collects dust, dog’s hair and best of all it’s cordless so easy to use, every day.” Someone has knocked off a star as they found changing the pad frustrating. The Shark vacuum mop combines powerful suction and spray mopping cleaning hard floors all in one device.
Karcher also make vacuum mops, but they are more expensive. The Karcher FCV Vacuum Mop is £269.99.
Ninja CRISPi 4-in-1 Glass Portable Air Fryer
Air fryers have well and truly taken the cooking world by storm, offering up a quick, relatively mess-free and economical way to make delicious meals at home. The Mirror’s shopping writer Eve Rowlands upgraded her old air fryer to the Ninja Crispi last year and said the design ‘immediately’ caught her eye as ‘it wasn’t bulky and didn’t take up too much space on my relatively lacking countertop’.
Stocked at QVC for £199, it is one of the few fully glass air fryers available to buy. For a cheaper option, we’ve found the B&Q Halogen Air Fryer for £32.99. This means users can watch their food cook in real time.
A special feature on the Ninja Crispi is its portability. Eve explained: “It’s also small enough to be conveniently portable and ideal for dinner parties, but also for holidays away. Of course, many devices are technically portable if a plug is available, but what I mean by this is that the food can be cooked and transported in the same container without needing to transfer it from oven to another container. This is because the gadget comes with its own lids.”
The Ninja Crispi has four modes – air frying, roasting, re-crisping and keeping food warm once cooked, with Eve finding the most useful function to be air frying. She would prefer if users could ‘control the heat’, but it’s an ‘incredibly fool-proof’ design with just the four functions.
Ninja Extended Life Ceramic 5-Piece Frying Pan & Saucepan Set
Investing in a high-quality set of cooking pans can improve meal-time methods and save money in the long run as they won’t need to be replaced. Even better is picking up a set while discounted, like the Ninja Extended Life Ceramic 5-Piece Frying Pan & Saucepan Set down to £159.95 from £219.96 at QVC.
The set comes with five Ninja non-stick pans, all varying sizes for different cooking needs. QVC’s deal means each pan is essentially £31.99, a worthy offer from the top-rated brand.
Suitable for ovens and the hobs, one QVC customer left feedback for the Ninja set, commenting: “They arrived beautifully and well packed, they are really nice saucepans and frying pans to cook with, they also look really smart cooking on the hob, I was worried about the handles on the saucepans and frying pans getting hot but they don’t.”
Consumers will need space to store the pans in the kitchen, so if this is an issue, perhaps Lakeland’s 8-in-1 Only Pan is preferable at £59.99. Although this does mean shoppers would need other pots and pans to cook mulitple things at once.
Ninja Swirl by CREAMi Soft Serve & Ice Cream Machine
Last year, Ninja entered the soft serve game by launching the Ninja Swirl Ice Cream Machine – and QVC customers can get it for £349. The soft serve programs are ice cream, light ice cream, Fruiti, frozen yoghurt, soft serve gelato, and CreamiFit.
For ice cream, there’s light ice cream, gelato, sorbet, frozen yoghurt, and milkshakes, plus there’s a mix-ins program to add extra bits. Ninja says users can ‘turn almost anything into soft serve’, including protein treats under 150 calories, with the included recipe book.
One excited customer said: “Made our first soft serve ice cream tonight. Just like ice cream from the van! It was amazing.”
They did go on to say the ‘only downfall is having to freeze the ingredients 24 hours beforehand’. Alternatively, Lakeland is selling the Magimix Gelato Expert Ice Cream Maker for £499.99. This has a built-in freezer with a temperature of -35˚C, meaning there is no pre-freezing required, but it does not have a soft serve dispenser.
