The shopper has shared a little-known supermarket technique that could make life much easier
A shopper has gone viral after uncovering a little-known supermarket trick that he claims could make life far simpler when reaching for items on the top shelf. Liam Wilson stumbled upon the hack entirely by chance while looking at the drinks aisle at Tesco.
The 28 year old, from Norwich, explained he was attempting to grab a bottle from the back of a shelf when he discovered he couldn’t quite reach it, despite standing 5ft 11in tall. That’s when he spotted a mechanism above the bottles designed to pull products forward.
Intrigued to see whether it actually worked, Liam decided to give it a go and was taken aback by the result. The personal trainer, online fitness coach and content creator subsequently shared the discovery on social media after questioning whether anyone else was aware of it.
His video has since clocked up more than four million views. Viewers were gobsmacked by the straightforward supermarket hack.
One person said: “No way. I didn’t know this – I’m too short to see what’s going on up there.” Another shopper wrote: “No way. As a 5ft girlie you just changed my life.”
A third person joked: “My god, I have needed to know this all my life hahahahaha.” Somebody else added: “On behalf of all the shorties… THANK YOOOUUUU.”
Another viewer quipped: “I was today years old… I’m 6.2 so next time someone asks me to reach something for them, they can get it themselves hahahaha.” The clip continues to circulate online as shoppers express their amazement at discovering the hidden feature above supermarket shelves.
