The ‘absolutely beautiful’ Lyocell Rich Spot Midaxi Waisted Dress has shoppers in love with its relaxed but elegant fit and striking polka-dot pattern

Marks & Spencer shoppers are raving about a new summer dress that is ‘by far the best item I have purchased’ in a ‘long long while’ thanks to its bold pattern and ‘flattering’ fit. The Lyocell Rich Spot Midaxi Waisted Dress costs £45 and is decorated in gorgeous big black spots that contrast beautifully with the ivory coloured background – and having garnered a complete five-star rating, we can see it selling out fast.

Coming in sizes six to 24, the dress is finished with gorgeous, voluminous puff sleeves and slightly puffed top that is brought in at the waist to create a lovely flattering silhouette and floaty A-line skirt.

Made from eco-friendly lyocell rich organza fabric, the midi dress is lightweight and breezy, making it perfect for British summers (when we’re never quite sure what the weather is doing). It keeps you covered on the arms and legs for chilly temperatures but is light enough to be manageable in heat.

The polka-dot design makes this dress easy to wear for either a day at the office or a wedding as it is so versatile. Add some black heels and statement earrings for an elegant party outfit, or go casual by pairing it with trainers and a denim jacket.

It’s no wonder shoppers are urging fellow fashion fans to snap the dress up before it sells out, with many citing it as a ‘wow factor dress’. One said: “This is by far the best item I have purchased from M&S in a long long while. Beautiful dress in every way. It’s quite a statement piece as in you will get noticed wearing it as in wow you look good. Elegant and classy.”

Another added: “Absolutely beautiful, and very flattering. This is a really lovely dress, and very good value; the puffed sleeves combined with the very sleek design of the rest of the dress make it look far more expensive than it actually is. It’s also very flattering on and I love the almost maxi length. The fabric is very lightweight, so it will be perfect for summer.”

One M&S shopper commented on how it was a great fit for “someone with larger boobs”, stating: “Looks great on, feels lovely and fits really well which is unusual for someone with larger boobs! Excellent value too.”

Being fully-lined, you needn’t worry about the dress being see-through, making it a gem of a wardrobe staple that is easy to chuck on. It only recently launched on the website, but this lovely piece has already received several five-star reviews.

The only downside is that, being relatively light weight, it may not be a dress that can be worn all year round – meaning we’ll have to pack it up when winter arrives.

Now, if you’re a fan of the polka dots but not so much the shape, elsewhere fans are loving this Belle Tie Back Midi Dress from Style Cheat which is currently £54.40 and instead of a high crew neckline, it has a V-neck. For an inverted design, this New Look black spot frill maxi dress is feminine, chic and versatile – and only costs £28 in the sale.
