Those who struggle to sleep on flights have praised the lavender scented pillow spray for helping them drift off

Falling asleep on a plane is no easy feat but savvy travellers have found an ‘amazing’ product that has helped them snooze while flying. The This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray is a soothing blend of lavender, vetivert and camomile that when spritzed on a pillow, blanket or clothing is said to help reduce sleep anxiety and improve sleep quality.

If you’re a little sceptical over whether it works, more than 13,000 Amazon shoppers have rated it five stars and many say ‘they now wouldn’t be without it’ as it makes a ‘big difference’ in how quickly and deeply they sleep. One person who discovered it while flying said: “First found this stuff on the plane heading on holiday and it really helped me to relax in unfamiliar surroundings.

“Smells absolutely gorgeous so had to buy again once that bottle had run out. Honestly can’t sleep without it.”

It’s typically priced at £21 for a 75ml bottle, however, Amazon has it reduced by 29% making it £15. That makes it cheaper than John Lewis, LookFantastic and Boots. You can also get 250ml Deep Sleep Pillow Spray and eye mask directly through This Works where it is on sale for £24.50 reduced from £35.

Users of the This Works pillow spray have been left incredibly impressed with the results, whether they need help drifting off, staying asleep or reducing anxiety before bed. One person even described it as: “The single best product to have a better sleep when going to sleep.”

If you wake up feeling groggy from other sleep remedies, the This Works pillow spray is said to eliminate that problem. A happy customer wrote: “As someone who has ALWAYS had trouble sleeping. I’ve tried many a remedy – both natural and non – with very little in the way of success.

“Even if I did manage to get to ‘sleep’ eventually – I’d always wake up with a heavy head and aching muscles. Not anymore. This miracle product actually WORKS. I’m usually asleep within 15 minutes MAX with a couple of spritzes of this on either edge of my pillow. It is the first time in my life I’ve consistently been able to go two weeks without waking up feeling shattered.”

Another person commented: “Amazing product. I use it most nights, apart from when I’ve run out, and then I regret not buying any more. Definitely notice the difference when waking up with and without it. With it, I wake up more fresher. Has a nice calming smell and doesn’t irritate the nose. 100% recommend.”

However, the spray doesn’t work for everyone and some people found the lavender scent ‘too weak’ saying it ‘fades quite quickly’. One shopper recommended the Neal’s Yard Remedies Goodnight Pillow Mis, £15, as a ‘better bet that is more concentrated’.

Alternatively, Neom’s The Perfect Night’s Sleep Pillow Mist has been reduced by 25% to £17.25 down from £23. It’s a dreamy combination of essential oils including lavender, chamomile and patchouli.
