Carly didn’t hold back while telling the high-street store exactly how she feels about its latest autumn fashion collection

A shopper didn’t think twice before sharing exactly how she felt about Primark’s latest autumn fashion range. Although it is no secret that Primark is backed by a legion of loyal fans and shoppers for being one of the most affordable high-street brands going, it doesn’t stop some from sharing their divisive opinions.

Primark has made headlines in recent weeks for going viral with its brand new jumpers, pyjamas and coats. As the weather turns colder, many Brits have been searching for ways to stay warm for cheap while looking stylish.

Primark has been a top choice for many, with its burgundy Oversized Crew Neck Jumper being branded as the ‘best thing on sale right now’. The jumper was in such high demand, amid hundreds of TikTok videos and hauls, it quickly sold out in September before gradually appearing back in stores.

The store has also been praised for its £38 Faux Shearling Biker Jacket, which shoppers say looks ‘so good’ on and is ‘perfect for chilly days’. Not to mention the retailer’s £7 fleece leggings that are ‘perfect’ for keeping yourself warm while looking fashionable.

Despite the high praise lately, one shopper has been left less than impressed by Primark’s autumn 2024 range. On TikTok, a user called Carlyleighgyally uploaded a three and a half minute-long video about her thoughts on the collection.

In the caption of her video, which has been watched 24k times, she brutally hit out at the high-street shop. “@Primark if you say sorry and make some better clothes I’ll think about coming back,” she put quite plainly.

You can watch the video in full below – warning, strong language.

Pointing out a tan-coloured long sleeve jumper on a railing, Carly didn’t hold back and said: “Now I know I’ve seen Molly Weasley wear this.” Panning her camera across other articles of clothing at her local Primark store, she added: “I see 15 girls a day and I can tell you for free that I’ve never seen any of them wear this, it is giving Burberry on a budget.”

Filming an array of Lilo and Stitch Disney merchandise, she went on: “Where is there more Stitch-themed stuff in the adults section? Is there a demand for this, are we wearing this?”

Holding up a uniquely designed phone carrier, Carly said: “Now I know we’re not wearing pearl phone holders, tell me we’re not. Where would you use this?” In regarding to a pair of white pattern tights from Rita Ora’s Primark collection, she said: “If pattern tights are coming back, stop the world, I’m getting the f*** off.”

She also wasn’t keen that several hoodies she found either had a “city, country or day of the week” written on the front. She also was unimpressed by a pastel green leather jacket she described as ‘something from Hollyoaks’.

However, her video wasn’t solely one insult after another, she did say she regretted not buying one item. Bringing Primark’s £2.50 Smoothing Paddle Brush into view, she admitted: “I love this for hair extensions, I didn’t buy it, though I regret it.”

She also was smitten with Primark’s £34 trench coat. Unfortunately, the colour she wanted wasn’t in stock as the store on had it in an extra large. She did say the coat reminded her of a version in Zara however that costs much more at £90.

Primark has been approached for comment but did not immediately reply.
