Jamie Howlett is facing 11 different charges of sexual assault of a child, rape and controlling and coercive behaviour over three separate alleged victims which Surrey Police said include two children

A serving Met Police officer has been charged with the sexual assault of two children, as well as the rape of an adult.

Jamie Howlett is to appear in court over the allegations of six counts of sexual assault by touching, which Surrey Police said was in relation to two alleged victims.

The 33-year-old from Horley, Surrey, is also charged with five counts of rape, a charge of controlling and coercive behaviour and a further charge if assault causing actual bodily harm.

The rape, abuse and assault charges all relate to a separate adult, the force said. Howlett, who is a serving police constable with the Met, is due to appear Staines Magistrates’ Court on August 9.
