Selena Gomez has embraced the 90s minimalist trend with her super chic oval sunglasses that are ‘timeless’ for summer – and they’re currently on sale for under £50

The right pair should manage to walk the line between on-trend and timeless, with a shape that’s flattering and easy to style, and we’ve just found the perfect pair that checks all of these boxes.
Selena Gomez has been spotted wearing a pair of Le Specs’ Love Train sunglasses on several occasions, the most recent of which was during her trip to London. They’re great for elevating your everyday outfits, but unlike most A-lister accessories, the sunnies don’t come with a luxury price tag – in fact, they’re currently on sale down from £70 to just £49.99, saving you £20.

The Love Train sunglasses have perfected the minimalist 90s style that was made popular by everyone from Carolyn Bessette Kennedy to Jennifer Aniston, and since the 90s is having something of a style resurgence, they couldn’t be more on trend right now. However, their clean, simple shape and elegant frame means that they’ll still be stylish and chic long after the trend has died down.
Selena opted for the Gold Mustard Mono colourway of the Love Train sunglasses, but you can also pick them up in lilac, green, black and brown. However it’s currently only Selena’s Gold Mustard Mono version which is on sale, with the others still full price at £70. However that colour option is in the “final sale” which means they’re non-returnable unless they’re faulty.
You can pick up a similar shape and style at other top sunglasses retailers including Ray-Ban where they’re £144 with a gold frame and smoky black lenses, or at Jimmy Fairly where The Zelie sunglasses are £135. This does mean, however, that the Le Specs pair are one of the more affordable versions on the market, making their under-£50 price tag a bargain.
The Love Train sunglasses have also been highly praised by shoppers,with 17 out of 19 reviews being five star ones. One shopper called them “Timeless and super chic” and added: “I love how they fit.”
Another wrote: “My new summer faves. I recently purchased these Love Train sunglasses and I haven’t taken them off. Love the fit and the quality, they are the perfect addition to my summer collection!”
There are only two reviews which are five stars; one is from a shopper who said their sunglasses never arrived. Whilst the other was four stars, saying: “These are so chic, only reason for 4 stars is sometimes they leave marks on my nose after I haven’t worn very long.”
However someone else raved about the Love Train sunglasses, writing: “Absolutely love this glasses. They look classy and timeless. They look fantastic with everything.”
