Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson will leave the Royal Lodge where they have lived for decades despite being divorced with the pair expected to move into different accomodation

Sarah Ferguson could end up leaving the UK amid the unfolding Jeffrey Epstein scandal with one well-placed source commenting “there’s not a lot to keep her here.”

Fergie and her ex-husband Andrew Windsor have experienced a spectacular fall from the public’s graces after emails showed them in contact with the late billionaire paedophile, despite having publicly disassociating themselves from him. Andrew has denied all allegations against him related to Epstein and Fergie is now reportedly considering leaving the country after the emails came to light.

The pair, who lived together in Windsor’s Royal Lodge despite having divorced decades ago, will leave their property after Buckingham Palace announced they would move out.

A well-placed source told the Daily Mail that Fergie is now retracing the moments that led to her public downfall. The source added: “Sarah is going around blaming herself. She keeps repeating ‘what if I hadn’t done this, or hadn’t done that. Put it this way, the invitations have dried up overnight.”

Fergie is now understood to be looking for a place of her own and is keen to “move on with her life.” Meanwhile, Andrew will move into the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

But Fergie will hope she will be able to reinvent herself, according to the source. They added: “She has always found a way to bounce back from the many public scandals she has faced over the years, normally with a well-paid public mea culpa and a promise to change her ways.

“[But] That’s unlikely to happen this time. It’s not just a question of her finances now, but her personal dealings with a serial sexual predator – and her willingness to lie about them.”

Insiders have also revealed Fergie has considered living abroad as she has “nowhere else to turn.” It comes after she was dropped by ITV after the emails were uncovered.

The messages were written to Epstein after he was convicted in 2008 for trafficking a girl for sex. There is also speculation that Andrew will leave the UK

Royal biographer Andrew Morton told Times Radio: “I would predict that, if we’re speaking about this time next year, Andrew will probably live somewhere abroad.” Top of the list, it seems, is Abu Dhabi.

According to The Sun, Andrew has been offered a 16,000sq ft palace from the Emirate’s billionaire ruler, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, 64, known as MBZ.
