“I’ve been using this before wash days and it hasn’t let me down – it refreshes my hair and absorbs oil without leaving any residue”

Fenty have launched a new dry shampoo with their Invisimatte technology that stops hair looking greasy without leaving any tell tale white cast. The Imposter Invisi-Boost Volumising Dry Shampoo is £24 at Cult Beauty and comes in a carry-on friendly size.

It features the iconic Amber Bouquet aroma, which is made up of sweet notes including yuzu, coconut and musk alongside some florals. There’s a subtle lilac finish to it that’s undetectable in all hair colours..

The dry shampoo uses tapioca and rice starch to refresh roots while also adding volume to tresses. There is also provitamin B5 added to deliver a natural-looking shine and the appearance of ‘just-shampooed’ hair.

There are other dry shampoos on the market that have built up a loyal fanbase. Living Proof’s Perfect Hair Day (PHD) Dry Shampoo is currently 20% off at LookFantastic, down to £21.60 from £27 for a 198ml bottle. It uses Triple-Action Cleaning Technology to absorb oil, sweat and odour.

REHAB have also dropped the price of their Essential Dry Shampoo from £18 to £14.40. This stands out as it has an innovative mist tube packaging.

Fenty Hair The Imposter Invisi-Boost Volumising Dry Shampoo

Inspired by Fenty’s iconic blotting powder, the Imposter Invisi-Boost Volumizing Dry Shampoo (60ml) absorbs excess oils without leaving any white, chalky cast.

The Fenty Hair The Imposter Invisi-Boost Volumising Dry Shampoo has pulled in an average rating of 4.6 out of 5 on Cult Beauty. One shopper wrote: “A great dry shampoo for everyday use but absolutely incredible for travelling.

“Non aerosol where it is a powder so great for taking on carry-ons. Having very brunette hair, this also does not like me with a white cast, blends in super naturally and leaves me tons of volume!”

The volume is clearly a hit as another said: “Such a great volumising dry shampoo! I’ve been using this before wash days and it hasn’t let me down – it refreshes my hair and absorbs oil without leaving any residue. It also adds so much body without feeling heavy. The scent is lovely too!”

It’s been said to go far with a small amount, with one customer adding: “This dry shampoo powder does add volume and it has a light smell. A little goes a long way.

“This is the first dry shampoo powder that I have tried so I was a little sceptical, but I like it. You may have to rub some of the powder in so there is no white residue especially if you have darker hair.”

Although one customer did find their bottle led to a little mess in the bathroom. They explained: “I love how lightweight the powder feels. It instantly makes my hair feel fresh. The scent is subtle and fresh. The only con I have, and maybe I got a defective bottle, when I spray the powder just kind of falls out and it tends to get all over me or the sink rather than my hair.”

Overall it seems to be a hit, with one shopper titling their review ‘Bedhead Saviour’, they wrote: “I’d never tried a powder dry shampoo before so I was a bit hesitant but my hair loves this! I have really fine hair and after sleeping on it it just goes so oily and flat.

“This has become my saviour in making my hair last those few extra days before washing! It smells lovely, doesn’t weigh my hair down at all, and really does a great job at eliminating the greasy look. Super easy to use as well!”
