The Italian chain launched a money saving subscription deal for families – plus a list of the 33 restaurants where kids can eat free or for £1 this half term

Family friendly restaurant chain Prezzo has launched a subscription scheme which it claims could save a family nearly £1,500 a year on the cost of eating out.

Launched to coincide with the half term school holidays, the Prezzo Italian Kids Club costs £1.99 a month – or £19.99 for a year. For that, families can get up to three kids meals for free every time an adult orders a full priced meal.

Prezzo claims the offer is the UK’s first of its kind dining deal, helping families save money all through the year.

The T&Cs show that it applies to up to three children who can get a free three-course kids’ meal each per visit from Prezzo’s standard kid’s menu, with the purchase of one full-priced adult main meal. While it can only be used once a day, that’s still plenty of opportunities.

Prezzo says that, if a family with three kids take advantage of the deal once a week for every week of the year, it would save them £1,462 over the space of the 12 months, even after paying the £19.99 annual fee.

That would mean going to Prezzo a lot, to be fair, and doesn’t include the cost of the adult meal and any drinks on top for them or the children. It also only applies to children aged two to 12 and the chain’s standard kid’s menu only.

James Brown, chief executive of Prezzo Italian, said: “We know that family life is busy, especially for larger families juggling multiple little ones. As a dad of two, I understand how valuable it is to have somewhere reliable to go where kids are looked after, have fun and eat well, while parents can get a break.

“That’s why we wanted to create something genuinely helpful, built around real families, offering everyday value all year round. This isn’t just a half term deal or a one off promotion, but real, everyday value that parents can rely on, especially when budgets are stretched.”

While its deal lasts longer, there are plenty of other restaurants, pubs, and others offering special half term deals, where kids can eat either for free or £1.

As always, it is worth checking the full details and T&Cs before you go: some offers require an adult meal to be purchased or are limited to certain days or times.
