Want to own a set of rare coins which can make you super rich? If the answer is yes, you need to check out the special designs below that are incredibly valuable to collectors

Everyone wants an early retirement, but sadly it’s not as easy as we’d like to think.

Having said that, one TikTok user seems to think you could bag a ticket to early retirement if you own a set of these rare coins. User @CoinCollectingWizard has garnered a following of 202,100 fans for sharing his useful information on valuable pennies and pounds.

Now in a recent clip, which scooped 500 likes and nearly 100 comments, he unveiled the “coins that will make you retire” in a minute-long video. From the £100,000 penny to an ultra-rare Kew Gardens 50p coin, you better look through your collection now.

He said: “The rarity of the 1933 UK penny makes it highly sought after by collectors and its scarcity contributes significantly to its market value. If you have a 1933 UK penny in your possession, then you are 100% rich and can easily sell this for over £100,000.

“The 1983 New Pence Two Pence coin is considered rare due to a specific transition in the design of the coin. In 1983, the Royal Mint began the process of changing the inscription from New Pence to Two Pence. If you find this rare coin, you are looking at £1,000+.”

Then he moved onto one of the coins from the London 2012 collection. He explained: “If you find an Aquatic 50p error coin with lines over the face, it could be worth a small fortune.

“A small handful of this original design was put into circulation but it was then adapted very quickly to show the face above the water. With so few of the original design out there, it’s meant the coin value has pushed up significantly.”

Last but not least, the gold proof Kew Gardens 50p coin apparently sold for £6,800 at the Royal Mint’s online auction recently. The TikTok user said: “The ultra-rare version of the sought-after Kew Gardens 50p was estimated to fetch between £5,000 and £6,000 and did end up selling for thousands.”

Since it was shared recently the video caught a lot of attention from avid coin collectors. One viewer commented: “I have,” while another social media fan admitted: “I want to retire.”
