Kent Police officers arrested a man at Priory Shopping Centre in Dartford, Kent, following reports of an alleged assault by someone armed with a pair of ‘scissors’, as another man suffered injures
A man was rushed to hospital after suffering injuries to his head from an alleged scissors attack, police have revealed.
Kent Police Officers were rushed to the Priory Shopping Centre in Dartford, Kent, on Thursday following reports of an alleged assault inside the building at around 12.40pm. Security teams at the shopping centre had restrained a suspect who was later arrested by police. A victim, believed to be a male, was rushed to hospital after suffering wounds to his head and one of his fingers. Kent Police said reports suggested the suspect was armed with a pair of scissors.
Video shared online appears to show a scuffle between two people as others shoppers go about business. A spokesman for Kent Police said: “Kent Police is investigating allegations of an assault at the Priory Shopping Centre on Thursday 27 March 2025. It is reported that at around 12.40pm a suspect armed with scissors injured another man.
“The suspect was restrained by security staff and was arrested by attending police officers shortly after. The victim was taken to hospital for wounds to his head and finger.
“Bassan Biro, 24, of Gillingham High Street, was later charged with attempted wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon, and affray. He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 28 March.”
Priory Shopping Centre has been contacted for comment by the Mirror.
