Fashion lovers were quick to praise Primark’s stylish take on a seasonal favourite as shoppers rush to snap up denim coats

Denim trench coats are everywhere this season and shoppers are loving Primark’s take on the trend. Fashion-forward buyers were quick to spot the coat when Immie Farrow (@immie.farrow) shared her favourite picks from Primark’s offering in a viral video.

“Omg everything is so nice in Primark,” she said, captioning her TikTok post: “Primark new in.” She proceeded to highlight her autumn finds which included knitwear, legwarmers, and outerwear, but there was one coat in particular that received lots of love in the comments: the denim trench coat.

“I need the denim trench coat pls,” one commenter praised. “Omg need that denim trench,” another agreed. “Do we know the name of the denim trench,” someone questioned, and Immie dubbed the coat “unreal.”

It’s a popular product this season, with a range of brands featuring similar styles. Reformation, for instance, is currently selling its Hayes Denim Trench Coat.

Coming in at £368, Reformation’s offering has a subtle collar, pockets and sleeve detailing similar to Primark’s version. But it also features a belt, and it looks to come in a brighter hue.

Elsewhere, Levi’s is offering a Spade Trench Coat for £160, New Look is selling a Blue Double Breasted Denim Trench Coat for £79.99, and Tu Clothing has the Everbelle Mid Washed Denim Tailored Trench Coat listed for £60.

John Lewis recently dubbed trench coats this season’s “most wanted denim” showing off three different ways to style Levi’s denim trench. As seen in the video shared on Instagram, trench coats pair well with most t-shirt and wide-leg trouser combos, but the classic style also compliments softer silhouettes if you’re opting for dresses or barrel-leg jeans.

The style proved popular once more with viewers praising the looks in the comment section under the video. “I want this trench coat,” someone shared. A second said the Levi coat had to be their “next denim buy.”
