With more autumn weather ahead, people are keen to stay warm and stylish for bargain prices – and Primark’s cardigan is getting rave reviews

With the cooler weather coming, Brits are approaching that awkward time of year when we have no idea what to wear – especially when it comes to keeping warm. Some days the cold can take your breath away but there are other days when the big coat can seem a little excessive.

However, Primark seems to have an ideal in-between with its new cardigan that is taking social media by storm. The simple design has been loved by many with the basic item pairing nicely with lots of items already in your wardrobe.

Primark’s Relaxed Button Front Cardigan costs £19 and comes in several different colours. Shoppers have been sharing the find on social media with many saying it’ll be their “go to” for cosy comfort this autumn and winter.

One even claimed it felt like a much cheaper alternative to designer brand Massimo Dutti – listed online for almost £90. A fan said: “Wow! That looks so much more expensive than Primark.”

Another added: “OBSESSED! It looks so cosy and warm!” A third wrote: “They’re so cute and cosy!! Primark really came through!” Someone else commented: “Tempted to buy one off Vinted as it’s out of stock everywhere!”

The cardigan’s online description reads: “This knit cardigan strikes the perfect balance with a classic design and a cosy and relaxed fit. Made from a soft knit fabric, it ensures warmth and comfort while the round neckline and long sleeves make it perfect for layering.

“It has a button-front closure and two front pockets for added convenience. The neutral colour and minimalist style make it versatile, easily pairing with various outfits for a casual or slightly dressy look. Ideal for cooler weather, this cardigan is a must-have addition to any wardrobe.”

With the viral success of this item, it might be hard to pin down in stores. It might be smart to check the Primark website which does have a stock checking function when you search for your preferred size and colour.

It should show you every shop that does and doesn’t have the item on its shelves with a few offering the hassle-free option of click and collect. You can check where your nearest few Primark stores are using their online tool.
