It’s usually easy enough to personalise your Maccies order to your preference – but one woman was left raging when she received just a food wrapper instead of her order

A pregnant woman was left stunned when she tried to alter her McDonald’s order, only to be met with a blunt delivery note when it arrived.

We all have our favourites when it comes to Maccies, and sometimes we don’t want pickles in our burger or the egg in our McMuffin. Usually it’s easy enougth to order your food without certain ingredients.

But one woman was shocked and upset when she tried to order her breakfast muffin without egg, and claimed she was left with just an empty wrapper and a rude note instead of her personalised order.

Her partner took to Reddit to explain that the mum-to-be tried to order a Sausage McMuffin from McDonald’s in Maylands, Western Australia, and had requested it without the egg.

All of the other ingredients were “clearly listed” according to the customer – including he English muffin and beef sausage – so she was left shocked when she was given just the wrapper and a rude note which read: “Sausage egg has egg, muffins, sausage, cheese, its no for everything, so we have just given the wrapping”.

It appeared the order came through to the restaurant saying she ordered a Sausage McMuffin, but without any of the ingredients, so they simply just gave her the wrapping the food was meant to come in.

Her boyfriend revealed online that his partner was not happy. He said: “What a world! I got a good chuckle out of it but hell hath no fury like a pregnant woman,” Daily Mail Austalia reports.

He then explained that she had ordered a “regular sausage McMuffin, not a sausage and egg McMuffin, with no additions or removals.” He said that “makes it even worse” and attached a photo of the note and the empty wrapper.

People were quick to comment on the situation, as they tried to figure out how this could have gone so wrong. One Redditor said: “I’m guessing on the system it just listed no next to all ingredients. Either mistakenly did this when ordering or a system issue. Show the receipt”, while another added: “I feel like we need to see a screenshot of the order to be sure she didn’t tick no to everything.”

The boyfriend then further detailed that both the order history and the physical receipt show all ingredients as being removed and said: “So I can’t prove that my girlfriend didn’t do this either intentionally or accidentally. She also didn’t check the details in the cart when she put the order through.

“However, she vehemently denies even going into the customisation menu at all and I very almost fully believe her. It’s very unlikely she went into the customisation menu and removed the ingredients one by one – but I can’t prove that she didn’t.”

The Mirror has contacted McDonald’s for comment.
