A dehumidifier sold by Debenhams currently has a £60 price cut – making it a great time to consider taking the plunge
Dealing with condensation can be one of life’s needless annoyances. It’s frustrating to wake from a good night’s sleep to discover your windows are literally dripping with moisture, while the added chore of having to dry clothes indoors over winter only adds to the issue.
Enter dehumidifiers. They might look clunky and a bit ugly but they do a stellar job of tackling excess moisture in the air.
And one product that’s worth considering is the Pro Breeze 25L Quiet Dehumidifier. It comes with a 6.5L water tank to store the liquid that’s pulled out of the air.

‘My brilliant dehumidifier that’s banished mould and condensation falls to stunning price’
It’s currently on sale at Debenhams, with the retailer cutting 23% off the price to take it down to £199.99 from £259.99. It packs a punch and is capable of extracting 25L of water a day, making it suitable for larger spaces
The product has averaged four stars out of five from the reviews left to date. One said: “This has made a huge difference with the condensation in our room. The laundry setting is excellent, this has saved me using the tumble dryer. My son is thinking of upgrading his one to this, too. Nice and quiet too.”
Another continued: “Brilliant bit of kit especially if you live in an older property.” Meanwhile, a third was delighted with the tank capacity: “An excellent product – literally sucks water out of the air. Big tank smart design.”
However, one customer did mention they were “neither completely satisfied nor dissatisfied”, adding: “Only used a few times so far to dry washing. Doesn’t seem (to) dry the washing as I’d hoped. I’ve used it for dehumidification and again (it) seems to take a long time to have any effect. I’m quite disappointed thus far. It was expensive.”
Another complained that the tank did not notify them when it was full. If Debenhams’ offering is a bit pricey for you, then you might want to consider the Russell Hobbs 10L dehumidifier.
I have this product myself and have found it brilliant at reducing the need to dry clothes in the tumble dryer. It’s currently at an excellent price on Amazon – £89.99, significantly cheaper than Dunelm, where it costs £129.
Price checking website CamelCamelCamel shows that the average price of the dehumidifier sits at £125.35, while one year ago, it was priced as high as £169. In fact, over recent years, it’s only been slightly cheaper than it is now a couple of times at the back end of last year.
So, if you’re on the hunt for a solid dehumidifier, now could be the time to take the plunge. Elsewhere, if you’re on a bit more of a budget Amazon stocks a wide range of dehumidifiers, including the 2200ML Dehumidifier for Bedroom that’s currently discounted from £69.99 to £59.99.
