The grocery chain plans to open six new stores by the end of June 2026, as part of a major expansion plan
Supermarket chain Whole Foods Market has confirmed it plans to launch six new branches in the UK by the end of June this year, with all of the fresh outlets set to open across London. The new Whole Foods Market branches will be unveiled in Angel, Canary Wharf, Liverpool Street, and St James’s, representing the first significant UK expansion for the Amazon – owned retailer since it launched its inaugural British store more than 10 years ago.
According to The Grocer, each of the six new branches will feature a bakery section, specialist cheese counter, and beauty “hall”, reports the Express.
The supermarket will offer a variety of Whole Foods’ organic and conventional groceries, alongside an extensive range of ready-made and grab-and-go options.
Retail Gazette also reported that the new branches will showcase exclusive products including beverages, flowers and plants for customers to browse and purchase.
Several of the new outlets will occupy sites previously used by Amazon Fresh, whilst the sixth will be an entirely new store in St James, Westminster.
