A beloved Buckinghamshire pub is set to serve its last orders this weekend, with devoted punters being encouraged to pay one final visit before it shuts permanently.
The White Horse on London End in Beaconsfield has announced that today marks its last day of trading. In a statement to customers, staff said word of the closure had already started spreading around the area, confirming that Sunday evening would be the final service. The team also thanked those who have backed the pub throughout the years. The White Horse has invited regulars to drop by before the end, saying they would be delighted to serve customers “a final pint or two” before shutting up shop.
Heartbroken regulars flocked to social media to voice their sadness, reports the Express. One wrote: “Very sad. You will be so missed as a superb pub that was run by a wonderful bunch of people.Thank you so much for all the good times.” Another commented: “Noooooo! One of the few local pubs with plenty of space, decent food and lovely staff. It’ll be missed”.

The establishment is owned by the Brunning and Price pub group, which runs approximately 81 pubs nationwide. Other venues in the chain include The Rowbarge in Woolhampton and The Horse & Groom in Twyford.
Although no official explanation has been provided for the closure, the pub has directed its patrons towards nearby sister establishments, indicating that Beaconsfield punters will still have familiar Brunning and Price options within reach. The closure signifies the end of an era for the Beaconsfield location, with Sunday poised to be the last opportunity for locals to enjoy a pint inside the White Horse.
