Emergency services have swarmed a city centre street.
An incident has taken place at a premises on Melbourne Street in Newcastle city centre. Northumbria Police and the North East Ambulance Service are on the scene, with several officers and paramedics attending the ongoing incident. Photographs show four police vehicles alongside an NEAS emergency response unit and ambulance, Chronicle Live reports.
One person has been taken to hospital for treatment, the North East Ambulance Service said. Northumbria Police has been approached for comment.
