The body of a woman, in her 30s, was found inside a stables at Higher Tunshill Farm in Milnrow, Greater Manchester, police have now issued a major update on the case
Police have issued an update on their investigations into the death of a woman in Greater Manchester.
Fire crews rushed to the fire at Higher Tunshill Farm off in Milnrow, Rochdale at approximately 12.30pm on Friday. At the property the body of a woman was found and police initially launched a murder investigation.
At the time a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “At around 12.30pm on Friday 3 July, emergency services were called to reports of a fire at Higher Tunshill Farm, Milnrow. Sadly, emergency services discovered the body of a woman inside stables at the property.
“A male in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been bailed pending further investigation. A scene remains in place and enquiries are ongoing.”
But, police have issued a new statement and confirmed “there was no third-party involvement in her death.”
In a new update shared by police yesterday a spokesperson confirmed: “Through enquiries conducted by officers following the death of a 38-year-old woman who was found after a fire at Higher Tunshill Farm, Milnrow, at around 12.30pm on Friday 3 July, detectives believe there was no third-party involvement in her death.
“A man in his 40s, who was arrested on suspicion of murder on the same day, has been released with no further action being taken against him at this time.
“The circumstances surrounding the death will now be referred to the coroner and an inquest will take place in due course.”
