Shoppers can save on back-to-school essentials such as polos, shirts and pinafores

The summer holidays might be in full swing, but parents are already being urged to get ahead of the back-to-school rush. With that in mind, a new deal at F&F could help cut the cost of stocking up on school uniform essentials.

The Tesco clothing brand is currently offering 25% off a wide range of school uniform basics, including polo shirts, school trousers, shirts and pinafore dresses. To take advantage of the discount, shoppers need a valid Tesco Clubcard and must shop before the offer ends on Sunday, July 26.

The back-to-school range includes all the everyday essentials children need to head back to the classroom, including a three-pack of boys’ slim fit short-sleeved shirts (£6.75 from £9). That works out at £2.25 per shirt, making them an affordable option for parents looking to stock up on smart schoolwear.

There’s also a three-pack of polo shirts, down to £3.38 from £4.50, meaning each polo costs £1.13. Girls’ uniform essentials have also been included in the promotion, with a three-pack of cotton polo shirts reduced to the same price as the boys’ version.

Elsewhere, parents and carers can pick up a two-pack of regular-fit black school trousers for £5.25, down from £7. The trousers feature adjustable waistbands and a so-called ‘grow with me’ hem, aiming to extend their lifespan as children get taller.

Tesco shoppers can save 25% off school uniforms with a Tesco Clubcard until July 26th.

For girls, a two-pack of pleated pinafore dresses has been reduced to £8.25 from £11. The dresses include a practical front zip fastening and are made from stain-repellent fabric to help keep them looking cleaner for longer despite the inevitable spills and splashes of the school day.

Beyond uniforms, families might want to stock up on stationery and school bags for children. M&S, for instance, has launched a brilliant range of school bags this year, with prices starting from a budget-friendly £10.

Otherwise, Ryman has some cute pencil cases, too. That includes this Legami Pencil Case (£12.99), featuring an interior mesh compartment, a pen holder pocket, a zip closure, and a sweet panda motif.

Back to F&F; unfortunately, the sale items have no customer reviews. However, the clothing brand itself has feedback via TrustPilot, with one shopper sharing: “Bought a pair of men’s F&F summer shorts. Excellent quality and fit. Price more competitive than other main shop suppliers and quality not impeded.”

However, this mixed review reads: “Bought some flared trousers which were very good for the price. However, they do have very limited small sizes.”

On a brighter note, someone else added: “I do manage to pick up a few crackers from time to time! I bought my little granddaughter the most fabulous Minnie Mouse red and white spotted snowsuit for the autumn/winter. I happened to spot it and fell in love with it.”

A reminder for shoppers: the 25% discount is available across selected F&F school uniform lines for Tesco Clubcard holders until Sunday, July 26, after which prices are expected to return to normal.
