Olivia Attwood is a huge fan of Cosmetic Consult’s skin renewing pads which promise to transform your skin with just one use a week, so I tried them out to see if they really work

As any skincare fanatic knows, consistency is the key to keeping your complexion healthy and glowing. You need a routine that works for your skin, ticks off all your skincare concerns and, most importantly, is easy to maintain.

That’s why I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard that Olivia Attwood – whose skin always looks flawless – swears by some skin renewing pads that she only needs to use once a week. Her low maintenance skincare staple is Cosmetic Consult’s Miracle Skin Transformation Pads , which promises to give you almost instant results, so I decided to put them to the test to see if they really work.

Olivia has posted on her social media multiple times in the past praising the Cosmetic Consult Miracle Skin Transformation Pads . There are also plenty of celebrity makeup artists who love them, with clients that include Kris Jenner, Emma Stone and Millie Bobby Brown – and there’s no denying that they all have some seriously enviable skin.

What are the Cosmetic Consult Miracle Skin Transformation Pads

The Miracle Skin Transformation costs £39.99 for a box of four treatment pads, which should last you one month. The ingredients include vigna acontifolia, retinyl palmitate, salicylic acid, and salix alba which minimise fine lines and wrinkles, shrink and tighten pores, boost your collagen production and create smoother and healthier skin over night.

Their big draw is, of course, that they’re low maintenance – you only need to swipe the pad across your face one a week, and it still promises incredible results. You can build up to using them a maximum of three times a week as your skin adjusts to them, but once a week is more than enough to see a difference.

Pros

  • They’re easy to add into your routine and use

  • They gave my skin instant results

  • The pad format is travel-friendly

  • Over time my skin did look noticeably different

Cons

How I found the Cosmetic Consult Miracle Skin Transformation Pads

I was initially sceptical about how effective these would be on my skin – after all, with just four pads in the box and them only being used once a week, I didn’t think I’d see much of a pay off. However, I’m always happy to admit when I’m wrong.

After the first time I used one of the pads, my skin did feel immediately softer and brighter the next day. They were indeed very easy to use; just wipe it across your face in your evening skincare and then wash it off with warm water in the morning. Don’t forget to use SPF though, as they can leave your skin more susceptible to sun damage after use.

I was worried about how my skin – which is typically very reactive and sensitive – would respond to the ingredients, but miraculously I had no negative reactions at all. My skin didn’t go red, it didn’t feel sore or sting, and the next day my skin felt soft and smooth, rather than tight and dry.

After one month of using them, there was absolutely no denying the difference in my skin. My skin tone looked more even, my pores were tighter, and I had considerably less dry patches and texture.

I do wish they came with a more sustainable packaging, even if you could just purchase a refill rather than a whole new box. But these are definitely something I’ll be including in my regular skincare routine from now on.

If you want something that you can use every day, Mii’s Bright Skin Resurfacing Pads are £26 for a large tub, and can be gradually built up to daily use. You still need to introduce them slowly once a week, but as your skin tolerance builds you can increase use until you’re using them daily.

If you want to grab a bargain, the Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads are currently on offer over at Space NK, down from £46 to £36.80 for 60 pads. These are also gentle enough to be used every morning and evening.
