Wearing an overpowering perfume to the office is often considered one of the biggest beauty faux pas, akin to eating a tuna sandwich on a packed train. While intense scents are great for date nights and holidays, ideally, shoppers want something light yet sophisticated for the 9-5, but finding something affordable enough for everyday wear can prove a challenge.
We’ve spotted a huge saving on a Hugo Boss favourite that’s often praised for being the perfect everyday scent. At The Perfume Shop, HUGO BOSS Boss Femme Eau de Parfum 75ml has dropped from £89 to £41.99, saving fragrance fans more than 50% on the elegant floral perfume.
A 75ml perfume bottle contains approximately 525 to 750 sprays, which means if you apply two to three sprays daily, the bottle will typically last between 6 months and a year. If considering the lower end of that timeframe, that makes this particular fragrance work out at approximately 23p per day.
Boss Femme has recently been given a refreshed bottle design, but the fragrance inside remains the same much-loved scent. It combines tangerine and blackcurrant with delicate Madagascar jasmine, rose petal and oriental lily, before settling into a base of apricot and musks.
A favourite since 2006, Boss Femme is known for its light, clean and feminine profile, making it an ideal fragrance to wear from your morning commute through to after-work drinks. Its fresh floral profile has been hailed as smelling ‘expensive and classy’ while others say it’s suitable for ‘all ages’.

However, because it is a lighter fragrance, some worry that it doesn’t last as long as they’d like. One reviewer said: “Boss femme is a lovely perfume, the notes are nice and it is a classic feminine perfume. It smells expensive and classy. The scent doesn’t last, after an hour I had to smell on my skin to be able to smell it. I tried reapplying and the same thing happened.”
Even so, at £41.99 instead of £89, Boss Femme appears to be a timeless – and ageless – designer fragrance that won’t overwhelm colleagues or clients.
