The streets of West London have come alive once again as crowds gather for music, dance and food at Notting Hill Carnival
Notting Hill Carnival enters its second day as a wave of Caribbean culture brings millions flocking to the streets of West London for the world-famous parade.
With music starting from midday, this is the main day of the festival and its what the dancers and musicians have been preparing for all year. In a new move for this year, today’s event will also feature The Judging Zone Grandstand which is now open to the general public. Here you can see the bands in their full glory before exploring the rest of the event.
Here is a collation of some of the best images from the day so far as Notting Hill shuts down once more for its biggest day of the year. Roughly one million people are expected to be on the streets of West London across both days, police said, with 7,000 police officers on duty across the capital.
