Sites such as Amazon, Very, Nintendo and GAME have stock right now that shoppers can buy

The Nintendo Switch 2 is on the horizon as the console is set to release on June 5 in the UK, and gamers who have been grappling with recent stock issues might want to look again.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is in stock in many places right now – although it can be tricky to spot. Stock has been trickling in for retailers who have been loosening restrictions for people to buy. Even Nintendo, which has been sending out invites to the most dedicated customers, now allows anyone with a Nintendo account to log in and buy one.

This is perfect if shoppers have been holding out for the best place to buy the device. As well as the brand’s own site retailers including Amazon, Very, and Currys have added it to their stock.

We have all the information Nintendo fans need to know about the device. It does differ depending on the retailer. For instance, Currys is offering it as part of bundles.

Below we’ve rounded up everything we know so far about the console and where it can be bought.

Snap up the Nintendo Switch 2 right now from Nintendo

Nintendo has the Switch 2 up from pre-order right now for gamers with Nintendo accounts.

If it’s sold out, shoppers can always grab one from Amazon here before it sells out.

What do we know about the Nintendo Switch 2 just weeks before it releases?

The console will be released on June 5, 2025, and we have finally found out its technical specifications. According to Eurogamer, the Switch 2 will have a bigger and better CPU and GPU architecture, including an Ampere GPU, an ARM Cortex A78C CPU with clock speeds of 1101MHz when docked, and 12GB of LPDDR5X memory.

All this points to a much more capable console being able to run more modern games without needing to worry about frame rates or resolution. It should also lead to more third-party ports being released on the console in the future with more being announced as weeks pass.

Nintendo also announced through the Direct that the device would come with a 1080p 120Hz 7.9-inch LCD screen the ability to output 4K, and turn the Joy-Cons into mice. However, there’s no hiding that it comes with a very high cost.

The biggest downside to the new console is certainly its price. At nearly £400, it’s an expensive purchase for most gamers to consider just for running newer games and a boosted screen.

Meanwhile, if shoppers want some alternatives, you can grab the older Switch from Amazon for £233. Or for Playstation fans, the PS5 Pro from Argos for £699.

Where can you buy the Nintendo Switch 2 console now?

If gamers want to get the Nintendo Switch 2 console right now, Nintendo is the best bet. They can get one here for £394.99 or £429.99 from Nintendo directly.

Be warned that it is one per account, so if shoppers order and cancel or want another, they cannot buy one. However, at the time of writing, it’s the best place to buy it.

The good news is that other third-party websites have the console as well. Amazon has the console for sale here for £395.99 if gamers have Amazon Prime and want it on the day of release. There’s also Very and Currys to consider as they still have bundles to buy from.
