Next shoppers have claimed this affordable summer dress will be a “holiday favourite” for most. It could be dressed up for an evening out or worn casually on day trips out.
The V-Neck Ruffle Sleeve Mini Dress with Linen comes in eight different styles, with prices starting from £28 for options like plain white or black and some patterns like Animal Leopard Print or Red/Pink Wiggle Stripes. Shoppers can get more elaborate designs like the Mono Floral print (£30) or the Brown and Black tile print (£35).
All options come in sizes six to 26, with petite fitting another way to ensure the perfect fit, depending on your body type. Every dress, made with linen-blend fabric, features a V-neck collar with short ruffled sleeves.

Next bosses add online that “the versatile design makes this dress easy to elevate with a formal look.” And, it can just as easily be toned down with “an everyday vibe” for more casual outfits.
Shoppers could get similar outfits elsewhere, such as Very’s Embroidered Frill Front Playsuit (£32 down from £40) and ASOS is selling this Wednesday’s Girl frill sleeve mini dress (£24). But, Next shoppers had heaps of praise for the £28 outfit.
One said: “Lovely – looks and feels great for holidays!” Another added: “Versatile dress which is easy to wear daytime or evening – dress up with a denim jacket. Comfortable fit and true to size. Cool in a warm climate.”
There were some criticisms, though. One claimed: “I thought it was very flimsy and more like a nightie. Definitely not for my age. Probably better for a young person or over a bikini.”
And a second warned other women: “Lovely design dress, but so see-through. Would only wear for over a bikini needs lining.”
However, there are more five-star reviews such as this shopper who bought the Red/Pink Wiggle Stripe version and wrote: “Perfect holiday colours and loose fit for hot climates, a great dress.”
A fifth buyer put in their review: “I found my normal size slightly big around the arms but not enough to send it back. Nice feel and generous with the sizing.” And, one more said: “I’m very pleased with this dress. It’s good quality and really comfortable to wear. A definite holiday favourite for me.”
