New Look just launched a £28 suede and shearling effect shoulder bag that looks just like the £2k Small Le 5 À 7 Suede Shoulder Bag from Saint Laurent – and it’s a must for autumn
This autumn suede is reigning supreme as one of the must-have styles. From jackets to boots we’re giving our outfits a head-to-toe suede-covered makeover this season, and one of the easiest ways to incorporate the trend into your daily look without a complete wardrobe overhaul is with a handbag.

For those of us who don’t have £2k to invest in a new luxury handbag, New Look’s version offers a great designer-looking alternative. It’s of course made from faux suede and borg, rather than real leather and shearling like the YSL one, which gives it its affordable price tag. However, it still looks far more expensive than its under £30 price tag.
The bag comes in a tan faux suede with cream borg trim around the edges, and has a soft, slouchy design which makes it ideal for slinging over your shoulder. The shoulder strap is fully adjustable, so you can shorten or lengthen it to change its carrying style,with a buckle fastening that means you can switch it up in seconds.
Despite its laid-back look, the New Look bag is also super practical, with a height of 31cm, width of 37cm and depth of 14cm, giving you plenty of room to stash things, whether its a rain jacket and umbrella or your tablet for the office. There are also internal zipper pockets to keep essentials safe and to hand, and the bag fastens with a magnetic popper as well as a gold hardware clip on the front.
