New Look has kicked off its 25% off sale on selected lines, and we spotted a ‘picnic print’ gingham midi dress that is perfect for spring for less than £30
Lighter evenings, rising temperatures, and sunny skies can only mean one thing: spring is officially here. And with the arrival of a new season, now is probably the right time to give your wardrobe a warm-weather update (if you haven’t done so already). We don’t necessarily mean buying tonnes of brand-new clothing, but adding a few new pieces can’t hurt.
And luckily for us, New Look is having a 25% off sale on selected styles. The piece that caught our eye the most from this sale is the Black Check Smocked Midi Dress, which is now £26.99, down from £35.99.
The black and white check midi dress features a gorgeous picnic gingham print that is perfect for the new season, as well as a tie-front top, breezy shape and elasticated trims.

The best thing about this midi is its breezy and floaty design that makes it perfect for keeping cool as we head into the warmer weather. The tie-front detailing is also right on trend for the new season. Last year, Ganni popularised the tie-front blouse with its bestselling blouses, and this year, the design feature is here to stay.
To style this dress we recommend teaming it with a straw basket bag and some chunky sandals for a relaxed, springtime look. Alternatviely, to dress the midi up for slightly smarter occasions, we suggest a heeled mule or mary-jane with a tailored blazer layered on top.
