The new stores will offer “convenient shopping in a modern setting”

The supermarket has announced it will open a new store at Poole Retail Park on August 12. The new Food Hall will be located in an old Homebase space that has been vacant since February 2025.

Marks and Spencer said: “We’re bringing new life to this well-known site by transforming it into a modern, welcoming store that meets the needs of local residents while creating new jobs and enhancing the local retail offer. Our plans will bring this empty building back into viable use with a high-quality M&S Foodhall.”

The new opening will support “the regeneration of a key local site and will deliver significant economic benefits for Poole and the wider area”.

The retailer also confirmed that two more locations will open after the summer. The new stores will offer customers “convenient shopping in a modern and attractive setting”.

The new Food Halls will feature a dedicated flower shop, fresh produce sourced from M&S’ Select Farm Partners and an award-winning wine selection. Shoppers will also enjoy an in-store bakery with fresh pastries and a coffee counter with barista-made drinks.
