The M&S Trench Coat is available in black and beige and it’s proving to be a hit with shoppers who have already awarded it with five-stars
If you’re on the lookout for a versatile coat to transition from summer to autumn, then investing in a trench coat is a smart move. These lightweight coats are perfect to throw over jumpers and provide just the right amount of warmth during September and October.
M&S is offering a Longline Trench Coat for £79. Available in classic black and beige shades, this coat can be paired with virtually anything in your wardrobe. It’s ideal for layering over hoodies for a relaxed look, or wearing to the office during the work week.
The double-breasted coat, available in sizes 6-24, boasts smart shoulder epaulettes, buttoned cuff straps and a detachable belt. Plus, it comes with convenient side pockets. The coat has received an impressive overall star rating of 4.8. The model showcases the black trench paired with loafers, a black top and brown flared trousers, reports the Liverpool Echo.
In the review section, one customer praised: “Amazing quality, the fabric has a nice weight to it that doesn’t feel cheap at all. I’m short (5″1) so I ordered petite but the length was awkward so I reordered in regular and I much prefer it. ” Another added: “Really feel good quality and style.Excellent value especially compared to similar outlets. “
A third shopper penned an enthusiastic review: “I am very pleased with this trench coat. It is just what I wanted. I bought the pale buff coloured one which is sufficiently neutral to go with most of my clothes. I really like that it can be smart or relaxed and will go ok with trousers. I received compliments on the first wear. It fits comfortably, fits as expected, is a good length and good material. It is not too thin and feels reasonably robust. I would highly recommend this garment.”
“However, another customer who purchased the coat in tall size was less impressed, noting: “I am 1.8m tall and found the belt line on this coat to be far too high.
Whilst the overall length was OK, the proportions are all wrong if you are tall. “One more shopper wasn’t happy with the coat’s length, saying: “This style can so depend on your size and shape to determine if it is flattering. It’s way, way too long for me. I’m 5 ft 3. All in all a dreary-looking coat. I did not buy.”
Elsewhere, high street brand Roman is offering this Longline Hooded Gilet for £59. The stylish yet practical gilet is available in two trendy prints leopard and camo.
For those searching for a cosy winter puffer, Debenhams has slashed almost £100 off the price of the Monsoon Flossy Funnel Hood Maxi Padded Coat, originally priced at £190, it’s now £95.
