Barbecue season is on its way and this Marks & Spencer’s serving jug is perfect for whipping up batches of cocktails or refreshing drinks for parties, and it’s only £14
As we head towards another Bank Holiday weekend and a glimmer of better weather when June arrives, it’s almost time to plan those summer garden parties and barbecues. And although it’s easy enough to get the food side of things covered, making sure there’s enough drinks to go around can be more of a challenge.
Rather than ice buckets and coolers of drinks everywhere or trying to individually make each drink, a serving jug, like this Contrast Rim Acrylic Picnic Jug from Marks & Spencer, lets you have large quantities of refreshments right at hand. You can use it to make all kinds of drinks in, and it’s priced at just £14 making it an affordable staple to keep in your cupboards.

Dunelm bedding that keeps you a ‘good temperature’ while you sleep is now 30% off
Ideal for everything from mixing cocktails to big batches of lemonade or even just iced water, the Contrast Rim Acrylic Picnic Jug means you can keep the drinks flowing without running to the fridge every five minutes. It’s just the right size to contain multiple glasses worth of drinks, without taking up too much space on your table.
As well as being practical, the jug has been beautifully designed to make it a centrepiece on your dining table. It has a large curved shape with a simple contrast rim in dark green, and a generously sized handle which makes pouring easier. It’s also dishwasher safe, making clean up even easier, and you can buy matching glassware to complete the look.
It’s brand new to the M&S website, so the Contrast Rim Acrylic Picnic Jug only has one review – but it’s a glowing five star one. It said: “Great for summer!” and adding: “I loved this ]ug when I saw it for summer bbq’s and drinks in the garden such as water, iced tea etc.”
We spotted some other great options elsewhere, like this classic Handled Moroccan Glass Jug from Toast, which is priced at £28. It has a tall, more slimline design and is hand-blown from recycled glass at the Beldi Country Club in Marrakesh, making it a gorgeous artisan product.
If you want one similar to M&S’, the Gold Band Glass Jug from Dunelm is ideal, with a similar curved silhouette and a contrasting gold rim rather than green. It’s also even more affordably priced at just £12, with a two litre capacity.
We also love Oliver Bonas’ Fiesta Glass Confetti Serving Jug which is perfect for bringing some colour to your outdoor dining table. It has a multi-coloured confetti design for that party feel, and is priced at £29.50.
