The M&S sandals are being praised as “comfortable, stylish and great for holidays” by impressed shoppers

Marks and Spencer shoppers are heaping praise on a “light as a feather” pair of sandals they’ve spotted online. Shoppers say the shoes are “comfortable, stylish and great for holidays.”

The Skechers Arch Fit Footsteps Day Dream Sandals are available in three colours – black, natural and pink – and in sizes three to eight. The sandals are priced at £34.

The sandals are made with a flatform heel for a subtle lift, with a flexible traction outsole. The ankle straps feature easy riptape fastenings to keep you “snug and steady all summer long.”

According to M&S, the Arch Fit technology offers “anatomically designed support and a highly cushioned insole to reduce shock on every step.”

M&S also stocks the black Leather Buckle Flatform Sandals for £49.50, as well as the Suede Buckle Footbed Mules, priced at £29.50. There’s also the Leather Chunky Flatform Mules available for £55.

The Skechers Arch Fit Footsteps Day Dream Sandals have garnered an overall rating of 4.5 stars online, having racked up rave reviews. Among them, one person said: “Light as a feather! Comfortable, stylish and great for holidays because they’re so light! I’m a size 7 wide fit and these are fine.”

A second wrote: “The most comfortable casual shoes I have ever purchased.” A third added: “Great sandals, extremely comfortable, like walking on air.”

A fourth impressed shopper said: “Lovely comfy sandals, great value for money perfect for holiday in the sun.” A fifth wrote: “These are a pair of the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn.”

Another buyer added: “Relaxed and great comfort. Lovely relaxed comfortable sandal, will purchase another pair just different colour.”

However, some shoppers were less impressed with the sandals. One person said: “Comfortable underfoot but staps too tight across the foot. Nice velcro fasting on back strap.”

A second added: “I found these sandals a bit disappointing. They looked a bit cheap in real life, the straps were a bit stiff but the soles felt comfortable. Maybe if the front straps were adjustable they’d have been more comfortable. Shame as the price was good!”

Alternatively, a number of other retailers stock sandals in a range of different styles. New Look has the Crossover Strap Faux Leather Sandals in three shades for £19.99, while Next stocks the Friends Like These Black Wide Fit Minimal Block Low Heel Sandals for £24.
