M&S shoppers are loving the “flattering” trousers they’ve been snapping up ahead of the warmer months
Marks and Spencer shoppers are heaping praise on a “gorgeous” pair of trousers they’ve dubbed the “perfect summer trousers.” With warmer weather on the horizon, many people are sprucing up their wardrobes for spring and summer – and M&S might have just the thing.
The M&S Collection Pure Linen Wide Leg Trousers are priced at £45 and come in five shades: natural beige, black, navy, white and antique green. They are available in sixes six to 24, in a variety of lengths – extra short, short/petite, regular, and long.
The trousers are made with breathable pure linen fabric, which M&S describes as a “smart choice for sunny days.” They features a wide leg, high, partially elasticated, waistline, two side pockets and a hook bar and zip fastening.

Marks and Spencer also stocks the Cotton Rich Palazzo Trousers for £45, as well as the Viscose Rich Crinkle Elasticated Waist Wide Leg Trousers for £27.50. There’s also the Linen Blend Wide Leg Trousers, priced at £39.50.
M&S’ Pure Linen Wide Leg Trousers have garnered an overall rating of 4.7 stars online, having racked up rave reviews from impressed shoppers. Among them, one person said: “Really beautiful trousers, flattering and comfortable for summer!”
A second wrote: “Lovely fit and perfect length for 5′ 4. Perfect to dress up or down.” A third added: “Lovely soft linen trousers, so comfortable but at the same time look smart and elegant.”
Another shopper said: “Lovely crisp, good quality linen trousers that fit like dream. Super pleased, thanks M&S.” A fifth wrote: “Love them! As always, M&S did not disappoint. Lovely quality and great fit! Very stylish for all year round!”
A sixth reviewer added: “Gorgeous trousers, perfect fit and length and love the colour and fabric.” Another said: “Perfect summer trousers. These linen trousers are gorgeous, true to size, I love the colour, I think they’ll be really versatile over the summer months.”
However, some shoppers were less impressed with the trousers, with some having issues with the fit. One said: “Ordered extra short – far too long more of a regular length.”
A second shopper wrote: “Very disappointed with these I’m afraid. The pleated front wasn’t complimentary and puckered and pulled. I’m a 12, bought a 12 but it didn’t fit around the tummy area comfortably. The linen wasn’t a great quality and it didn’t help that they arrived rolled up into a tight ball.
“Flat fronts are much more flattering on linen trousers especially for more mature women. I returned them and am now hoping that there will be other styles available later in the season.”
