If there’s one accessory that no outfit is complete without, it’s a great handbag. Not only can they give even the most basic outfit an upgrade, but they’re also super practical, giving you somewhere to carry around anything and everything you might need when you leave the house.
Although we love the look of a mini handbag or tiny clutch bag, nothing beats an oversized tote bag when it comes to your day-to-day bag, and Marks and Spencer’s Faux Leather Tote Bag, £40 here, is exactly what we’ve been looking for. It’s roomy enough to store just about anything inside, whilst still looking sophisticated and elegant enough to work with pretty much any outfit.
The oversized tote is made from a luxe-looking faux leather that looks just like the real deal, with a smooth matte finish. It has a reverse A-line shape that narrows at the base, with a much larger, wider opening that’s handy for fitting things like laptops and tablets inside.
It measures 32cm high, with a width of 55cm and a depth of 16cm, making it roomy enough to fit any essentials (or just in case items) inside, such as an extra jumper, pair of flats or makeup bag to make heading out after work even easier. You could also throw in extra snacks or toys for the kids, or chuck a towel and book inside for a day at the beach.
There’s also a removable internal pouch to help keep your things organised and safe, as well as a zip fastening at the top. It also has a magnetic closure and two top handles that can be slung over your shoulder, carried in your hand or tucked over your arm.
You can choose from either tan or black colourways, with shoppers raving about how much they love the bag. “Looks expensive,” wrote one, before adding: “Lovely bag , plenty of room plus a zip up pouch removable attachment which is very useful . Faux leather looks realistic but happily cruelty free.”
