Millie Mackintosh has shared her favourite daytime moisturiser and it’s renowned for plumping up fine lines and improving your skin barrier in as little as two weeks

A great moisturiser is the staple of any skincare routine, second only to wearing SPF (yes, every day!). A good moisturiser is key to ensuring your skin is hydrated, healthy and your skin barrier is protected, however it can also help with things like fine lines, early signs of ageing and plumpness, making it a true does-it-all product.

One that’s gotten high praise from beauty lovers and celebs alike is The Dewy Skin Cream from Tatcha, which was recently hailed by Millie Mackintosh as her favourite every day moisturiser. Not only is she a fan, but it’s gotten more than 6000 five star reviews from shoppers, so it must be doing something right.

The Dewy Skin Cream is a rich, ultra-hydrating moisturiser that naturally plumps your skin, and is packed with antioxidants which leave your skin healthy, dewy and glowing. It contains Japanese purple rice which protects your skin from free radical damage and reduces the appearance of wrinkles, with Tatcha’s own study saying the face cream is proven to reduce the look of dry, fine lines in two weeks.

It’s also packed with hyaluronic acid, red algae and hadasei-3 which not only hydrates the skin, but actually attracts moisture too and locks it in so your skin stays hydrated for even longer. There’s also biomimetic squalane which is responsible for the rich moisture content and rapidly improving your skin’s barrier.

Together these help create a plumping effect, which leaves your skin looking fuller and more youthful and gets rid of the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The Dewy Skin Cream is £67 for a 50ml tub, or you can splash out on a larger 75ml tub for £97. However if you want to try it out before committing to such a splurge, you can also snap up the smaller 15ml jar for £26, which is also the perfect size for travelling with.

If you want something similarly priced that’s also packed with collagen and peptides, Medik8’s £79 Advanced Pro-Collagen+ Peptide Cream is another beauty fan-favourite. However for something a little easier on your bank balance, Ole Henriksen’s Strength Peptide Barrier Boost Moisturiser is now on sale down from £43 to £34.40.

It contains hyaluronic acid and niacinamide which help to hydrate and smooth your skin tone and texture for “all-day barrier strengthening and firmer, bouncier skin in 1 week”. For a real bargain choice, the Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream is just £16.80 (down from £21) for 50ml, and is a favourite of Maya Jama.

However the 6000+ reviews for the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream have all praised its effectiveness, with one calling it the: “Best Cream Ever.” They added: “If you have dry sensitive skin then this cream is for you. You don’t need to do 5-6 step skincare to achieve Glass Skin. You just need super moisturising and rich cream that hydrates your skin all day. Dewy cream is the best. It doesn’t make your skin greasy even though it has thick texture that melts into your skin.”

Another agreed: “I love this cream, it’s transformed my skin & given me the most healthy radiant glow!! It’s light on the skin but absorbs so well & leaves my skin hydrated & super soft.”

Whilst a third praised the Dewy Skin Cream as: “Life changing skincare,” adding: “This product is so unbelievably beautiful on my skin. It has changed my skin for the better, I no longer have to keep re applying moisturiser throughout the day as this product keeps my skin so hydrated!! Would never not use this as part of my daily skincare routine now.”

However others weren’t as big of a fan, with one saying: “Am I the only one that finds my face sticky two hours after I apply Dewy skin cream seems it doesn’t absorb into my skin disappointed…”

And another writing: “Felt quite greasy under makeup.”
