“One of the best colognes I have ever used. Light, pleasant and long lasting without being overpowering. My new favourite!”
Cremo has added a new fragrance to the lineup, and it’s being called ‘one of the best colognes’. The new scent is Italian Bergamot Eau De Toilette, and it comes exclusively in a 100ml bottle for £34.95.
This scent is perfect for springtime as it prioritises a bright and fresh scent profile. It combines notes of Italian bergamot, neroli blossom and fresh vetiver to create a scent ‘inspired by the elegance of the Italian Riviera.’
Although not an exact note-for-note match, the Cremo cologne does have an overlapping scent profile with YSL’s far more expensive Le Vestiaire des Parfums Saharienne Eau de Parfum, which costs £220 for a 75ml bottle.
Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver by Guerlain also shares the bergamot, neroli and vetiver base. That costs £105 for a 75ml bottle, so Cremo’s fragrance seems to be quite the bargain.
While Italian Bergamot hasn’t pulled in any reviews yet on the UK site, over on the US site, it has an average rating of 4.3 out of 5 from over 220 reviews. One shopper said: “One of the best colognes I have ever used. Light, pleasant and long-lasting without being overpowering. My new favourite.”

Another shopper praised the longevity, saying: “Very nice smelling cologne that has a scent to last all day, which is what I want in a cologne.”
One fragrance lover with 100 bottles in the collection swears this is their top pick, writing: “I’m embarrassed to admit I have probably 100 colognes in my collection. From very expensive to ones under $30. But Cremo Italian Bergamot is my #1 favourite. Can highly recommend. So fresh and clean. Please, Cremo, always keep this one on your offerings.”
It’s said to bring in compliments, one happy customer said: “Very fine fragrance, makes a great contrast with my high-end Colognes. A lot of compliments about my smell left on the pillow.”
One shopper was disappointed by the longevity, writing: “Great, bright scent. Longevity could be a bit better compared to other cremo scents, but it’s a good citrusy scent.”
Another loved it for daily use but found it didn’t last all day. They said: “Cremo’s Italian Bergamot Spray Cologne has a nice, fresh citrus scent with a hint of vetiver. It’s great for everyday use, but the fragrance doesn’t last long enough for me to call it a standout.”
The brand advises to spray a ‘small amount’ of the cologne onto pulse points from a distance of three to six inches, and clarifies it’s best to start with clean and dry skin. It further suggests not rubbing the fragrance, as this can impact the scent.
To have a stronger impact, they suggest reapplication throughout the day. For something lighter they say its best to ‘spray into the air and walk through the mist’.
